Marking a major milestone for Dispatch Recordings, we are proud to present Ed:it's Word Out EP as our 200th release. Right from the early demo stage it was clear this EP had something special, making it the perfect choice for such a significant number. Ed:it himself embraced the moment, with the '200' becoming the central feature of Arp XP’s striking artwork design. 

While, technically, we’ve already surpassed 200 releases if you include sub-labels, albums, and VIPs, this release still feels like a landmark moment which needed an EP that truly represented what Dispatch has stood for since 2001.

Word Out EP delivers exactly that. Across five heavyweight tracks, Ed:it captures the raw energy and spirit that has defined Dispatch over the past two decades. Each track has been a staple in both Ed:it and Ant TC1’s sets for the past two years, road-tested and refined to perfection.

After a wealth of success in 2019, Detached Audio is honoured to finally unveil label boss K2T’s debut album. Starting off as a newcomer back in 2017, this artist has constantly developed and explored his sound in order to present a stunning, emotional 12-track album that showcases the sound we've come to love, while also diversifying into other genres and styles. Previous lead tracks from the sampler EPs, Elder Spirit and Mvua, appear on this album alongside 10 brand new tracks of varying flavours.

This album sees K2T mainly travelling alone through genres, with tracks such as The Tranquillity of Being With The Self, Peregrination, and The Sound of The Sea displaying the soulful Drum & Bass sound the artist has become known for. However, we also see examples of K2T moving away from Drum & Bass and showcasing his downtempo versatility with Where Has The Time Gone? and The Idealist Part II, further solidifying the diversity of this artist.

Additionally, this album comes with four collaborations. K2T recruits Detached Audio founder Manu for The Wrong Room- a melancholic, wintery, deep house number, while frequent collaborator Sirus returns in Before Completion- with its deeper, jazzy, downtempo sound that serves as a restful interlude. Tesseract Recordings' founder D Flect also joins forces with K2T for the first time in Moments Fly Past My Window, showcasing a sombre jungle-infused piece packed with K2T's signature bells. Finally, we also see a special collaboration by K2T and album visual artist, as well as old school friend, Sahara, who give us A Carousel in My Mind- a hip hop number consisting of chopped sampling, beatboxing, and whistling by the duo themselves.

"I wanted to make an album that people can listen to as a source of comfort." – These are key words that K2T expresses when talking about the album, and it's clear to see that with the breadth and depth of the music in store, K2T is likely to achieve just that. All profits of this release will be donated to Help Musicians UK, as we believe that no one should have to suffer with mental illness alone.
