Echomatics - Abyssal Plain [170+ Recordings] PREMIERE

With their captivating orange eyes and flamboyant quizzical eyebrows, eagle owls are one of the most striking birds you might encounter on the Eurasian continent. Eagle owl numbers fell drastically throughout the 20th century. Many were killed accidentally in collisions with barbed wire and electricity pylons, and seen as threats to game species (birds hunted for sport), they were often deliberately shot or poisoned. Eagle owl populations are on the up since steps have been taken to reintroduce them. Today, if you’re very lucky, you might catch sight of one in woodland areas across Europe. We need to address the damage humans have done to help eagle owls and other birds like them. That’s why we will donate all proceeds from the release to Greenpeace.

For this next release we have production outfits NordOst and Incorporate teaming up. The collabs each tell great stories and will surely be good additions to your collection of techy Drum & Bass. Artwork by Mimbelbi.

After his "While I'm With You" EP back in early 2018, Option finally returns to Detached Audio with a four track solo EP, showcasing the breadth and depth of his sound. After major successes in 2019 so far with "Restrained Light" on Riddim Records with frequent studio partner K2T, as well as a gorgeous bootleg of 'Sober' by Mahalia; Option's "Subtleties" EP adds yet another body of work to his string of top quality releases.

Bringing the EP to a close is 'Time To Go'. Option displays a funkier edge to his sound while also seamlessly blending his classic deep aesthetic. Choppier drumwork add to the groove, constantly switching up the rhythm.
