Lynx - Golden Days EP ft Stapleton, Simon WIggins, Empire Soul & Bagshot.

Golden Days features the super talented vocals of MC Stapleton. More well known for his live mcing at events like Renegade Hardware. Rob Stapleton shows his lyrical skills with a very different liquid, nostalgic flavour.

Guitars performed on all the tracks are by Steve's (Lynx) friend Simon Wiggins. Friends from the age of 11, they have had very different musical backgrounds. As they have got older they have found common ground between electronic music & rock via a love of funk & Jazz which can be heard in this release. It felt the right time to solidify an EP together. Bringing classy guitar liquid dnb. They have collaborated previously in his debut album The Raw Truth and plenty of other projects.

The EP also include collaborators, Empire Soul - A talented duo consisting of Gary Andrews & Pepijn Hoekstra. The two met in holland in the early 2000’s and shared a passion for music, Drum and Bass in particular. Since that time, the pair have largely been producing Dance music, Hip Hop and Drum & Bass, most of their tracks are upbeat, energetic and heavily influenced with a funky, soulful vibe.

Lastly a collaboration with Bagshot - Starting wrirting music together way back in 1996, Lynx & Bagshot have wrote many tracks together over the years under many different pseudonyms including Drop That on Lynx's Hospital Records album 'I am Lynx'.

The collaboration has stepped Lynx out of his normal position as a groundbreaking Drum and Bass artist, and gives a glimpse of the future - breaking down the boundaries of tempo and genre. Whilst retaining his unique sound, moving forward will see a considered focus towards radio friendly tracks…. which can really be heard in Locked On The Low.
