Mutaforma

The first in a series of various artists to be released by Details Sound - The Spirit Of The Age Vol. 1 is a personal attempt to represent "the spirit" of this moment, an eye on the sea, where the initial intention of powerful and dynamic body music is changing, leaving room for a more contemplative and reflective way of dancing, where large places give space to the little ones, taking back the original spirit of being together.

On the A side, Anatolian Weapons opens with A Series Of Changes - a progression of looped vocals and acidic basslines that culminate in a full, liberating rhythm. Following A Hand Modern Cage focuses on a more hypnotic and evocative soundtrack that can perfectly match an atmospheric opening.

On the flip Gamma Intel’s Note To My Love delivers a mix of broken and electro rhythms that are part of the artist signature sound, ending with an intricate weave of melodic basslines. The last track Dense And Ragged is signed by the renowned london-based duo Vactrol Park who set the mood for a distopyan trip in 2049.

CuraVoceScura casts its roots and intertwines its branches with esotericism and the occult universe, where the voice and its forms can merge the horizontal line with the vertical one, transforming the ethereal essence of thoughts into material manifestation through a constant stream of songs and wails, of screams and sighs.

In this album, as in the ritual world, phonation acts as a common thread throughout the musical journey, marking the rhythm of listening and finding new essence in each track.

The album thus represents a cathartic succession of compositions that aim to rediscover in the musical world the same suggestiveness and search for the Deep that underlie the Occult and the esoteric process, transforming the sound journey into a real 'Ex Tenebris ad Lucem ' for senses.

The German philosopher Hermann Schmitz defines as vagueness the basic perceptive condition for describing the concept of atmosphere, and the spatial model within which it can be experienced. The space of feeling - a space by definition devoid of surfaces and animated by numerous semi-entities - is able to involve the individual immediately, bodily and affective, for being characterized by intrinsic properties such as indeterminacy and impermanence.

To clarify the spatial character of feelings understood as atmosphere, Schmitz adopts the analogy with the acoustic model explaining its ability to act despite the impossibility of defining a quantifiable spatial model. Vago Spazio del Ritmo - volume 1 is the first chapter of a path dedicated to the indefinite that surrounds us and that becomes a refuge, only experienced via sensations.

12 artists have vaguely wandered among new unexplored atmospheres, pushing the boundaries that define the dimension of listening and dancefloor, paying homage to the leftfield hemisphere in a non-linear and unexpected journey that will bring us to experience the unexplored forms of our emotions.

Olfactory Nerve is a recent moniker of Thessaloniki-based artist Photis Houliaras, who’s been actively conducting experiments and releasing albums on tape under his mysterious guise Le Fonte Son. Influenced primarily by synth electronic music and psychedelic mysticism, the Greek electronic composer is injecting new ideas into something in the ballpark of the unknown rarities from the underground cassette scene. “Orfeo”, his first album for Details Sound, offers a diverse range of original and magnetic output with a naive experimental heart.

After leaving his noise-soaked techno signature on Details Sound with the uncompromising “Informations” 12", A Hand is returning to the label with a healthy dose of enigmatically crafted sounds, made to stick in your head and body intensely.

On ‘Breakline’, a hunting dark bassline is backed by relentless drum patterns cut with machine gun precision. ‘For A Better End’ takes off into a swirling atmosphere propelled by anti-gravity beats. ‘Slow Injection’ expands further into dense and obscure realms of electrified experiments. The wandering 'Your Lost Dreams’ carries us to a breathtaking conclusion filled with abstract suspension.
