Seven hours recorded from the all night b2b between Christoffer aka C.K and myself. There isn't a lot of recordings from marathon sets up online, so thought this would be a nice one to share for those of you who like a long uninterrupted ride.

C.K and I are both from Denmark, and our friendship goes a long way back. We worked together on a vinyl only podcast in the late 00's on blogspot.com for those of you who remember those times digging through blogs and Myspace. Since then C.K has been producing amazing records and doing fantastic mixes on his Safe Radio series (highly recommended!) as well as help the local scene with a wonderful voluntary-run venue 'Super' in the city of Aarhus in Denmark.

It has been a long enjoyable ride to run my label Delaphine for 10 years, a ride of surprises, and this night was a such a ride as well. A fun back-to-back ping pong of followups, layups, and curve balls. We hope you enjoy the ride.

Thanks to the always amazing Aether Club team that consistently throughout the years have provided such an amazing space for electronic music in the heart of Budapest.

Not only behind the decks, the past few years have seen him capture his production style, influenced by labels like Partisan, EWax or Relikt. Zonker's sound now goes well beyond deep, minimal, acid and house grooves, pushing a unique sound that has continuously provided a soundtrack for some of the best club experiences.

In the year 2018, Zonker started the vinyl only imprint Resketch Records together with his friend and studio partner Daniel Gorziza. Under their common moniker SameSame, they already have released on great labels like Retrospect, RAWAX or PleasureZone."

Musically shaped between a teenage love for hip-hop and the many sundown to sunrises spent dancing at Brussels’ sweatiest underground parties, Camiflage is convinced that in order to make you dance, tracks should squeak, bounce, roll, clap, and conjure a grin on your face. 

He's been running Snaretrade Records since 2022, can be found sliding around town with the Planet crew and getting stuck in the home studio when possible.

Sssshhtcast 16 - Camiflage

For my contribution to Overlap’s mix series I wanted to try something a bit different from my usual dance-able DJ-ing. I looked through my collection for sounds that are reflective, often melancholic, that have a sense of mystery and grace. When doing the selection I tried to stay close to the feeling I get when listening to the music Overlap brings. 

The result is a little patchwork of tracks, with a lot of releases stemming from Brussels and around, recorded during the rainiest Summer we’ve ever seen.

Being co-founder of the Amsterdam based What’Sub collective, hosting their own club nights in a sold out Oosterbar and having played various local venues such as Shelter and Thuishaven, Noose is making prominent moves. 

Besides DJ’ing and collecting vinyl, he likes to spend time in the studio, releasing music on notable labels such as Nug-Net (Gene On Earth), Howl Records and under his own Noosepaper imprint. 

Musically he touches various edges of forward-thinking minimal house, 90s house and genres that emphasize a distinct groove. While Noose continues to develop his musical taste, his productions and selections keep the dancefloor going.

This month’s Sssshhtcast is a special one. We’re pleased to showcase a part of Noose’s set from Hintergarten this summer.

Sssshhtcast 20 - Noose

For the 17th episode of our podcast series, we thought it was about time to spotlight one of our co-founders and give him the chance to share his musical approach.

Meet Yorick. He’s far from a ‘one-trick pony’ (and yes, that’s a nod to the inspiration behind our name). In addition to his musical passion, Yorick wears many hats. As an Urban Culture Adviser for various cities both at his home-country and abroad, he’s spent years uncovering and supporting cultural gems. When he’s not doing that, you’ll find him tending to his flourishing allotment garden, where he grows even more than just his own needs of vegetables and spices.

We’re thrilled to have him contribute to the podcast series. Whether he’s digging into fertile soil, browsing his favorite record store, or exploring and mapping cultural hotspots in cool cities, Yorick always has a knack for finding hidden treasures.
