After first appearing on Correspondant with a remix for Kyle Starkey last year, Australian DJ and producer DAWS returns with her debut EP for the label, Touch Of Sapphic.
Celebrated for her versatility and emotional depth, DAWS moves between euphoric warmth and bass-heavy tension with ease. This release is made for the most intimate dance floor moments, built around samples from formidable 'lesbian' moments that shaped her at a tender age. Sex and the City’s Samantha Jones lesbian episode, Mila Kunis and Zoe Saldana. The result is personal and powerful, full of feeling and intent.
On remix duties, 131bpm turns It’s This into a bouncy, boppy workout and Angel D’Lite mutates Feel so into a burst of housey big breaks and all-out rave joy.
