Continuing the pursuit of the “Jack’s Favorites” series, Oslo based Det Gode Selskab tee up another fantastic chapter of the story with part three. The star studded release sees another amalgamation of inspiring producers and DGS favorites unite, including co-founder Tod Louie, Dandy Jack, Insectoscope, Rub800, Clock Poets and The Mountain Range, otherwise known as prolific Swedish producer Christoffer Berg, a producer and engineer under many guises over the years. 

Firing things up with a slab of ambient bliss is Tod Louie, “Salacious D” is a beautifully constructed atmosphere to tease you into the release. The quirky and stripped back sounds of Dandy Jack soon follow in “Divine In Chile”, classy vocals flashing throughout the hypnotic motions. Feisty 2 step action in Insectoscope’s “Huldu”, packed with grit and a hard edge. Rub800 delivers an underground outing in the form of “Horror Heaven”, a winding sub heavy bass manoeuvring around the glitchy drum patterns. Spooked out textures for your collection. Minimal connoisseurs Clock Poets have conjured up a loopy quest in “Talking With Ray”, laced with eccentric beeps and bleeps, with each and every detail intricately placed. The Mountain People also supply another transcending journey in “Parachute From The Dream”, slick IDM for trained ears, constantly evolving as you find yourself swaying in the realms of the after party. 

The penultimate sector of the Jack’s Favorites series comes in strong with another tasteful array of sounds for your bag!

The fourth and final sector of the Jack’s Favorites series has landed, and the Det Gode Selskab collective are certainly finishing on a high. An enormous package of club orientated sounds including a phenomenal selection of artists including Philipp Boss, Ignacio Morales, Shakèd, Phill Prince, Gabri-L and SanAndreas. Let’s Jack! 

Pacey peak time action from the returning Philipp Boss, “Badesalt” is ready to be slammed into any given dance floor to get the juices flowing. Ignacio Morales’ “Delayed Advance” is layered with squelchy acid tones, and hypnotic drum patterns. Shaked spices up the release with a slick house heater “Fanatiek”, animated movements throughout the track offering something different to the release. Phill Prince’s Okay “Lost The Key” has a charming groove, nodding towards the French electro era, playful yet punchy and will be sure to slot into your collection. Powerful broken drums land us in hot water as we reach the penultimate track of the Jack’s Favourites series, Gabri-L’s “Doesn’t Really Matter”. Dropping the release on its head is first and last Drum & Bass track of the four releases, bringing further dynamic to the DGS label, abrupt and lively action from a label favorite - SanAndreas. 

Spread across the four parts Det Gode Selskab have brought together an innovative array of sounds, and artists who inspire the label to do what they do. Firmly stamping themselves outside of Oslo with the release reaching far and wide.

Det Gode Selskab presents its latest vinyl release, DGS10Y2. This exclusive drop continues the label's 10th-anniversary festivities, encapsulating the sound that has shaped Oslo’s underground house music scene. DGS10Y2 brings together a standout selection of tracks, each crafted to capture Det Gode Selskab's unique blend of dance floor energy and rich musical storytelling.

Label founder, Tod Louie opens Side A with Trixie, a playful, modular-heavy progression that shifts between intense stabs and melodic synths, embodying a “devil on the shoulder” vibe. Mike Shannon’s Data Missive follows, blending crunchy modular tones with evolving percussion. Side B features Since Day One by Ohm Hourani, adding hopeful synths and trippy vocals, while Karl Fraunhofer’s Protect The Party (premiered here) closes with a low-slung groove and distinctive vocal effects, telling a well-known late-night tale.

With 200 copies only, this limited edition release stands as a piece of the label’s history. Make sure and don’t sleep on this.

She delivers an amazing IsBurnig mix with hidden gems and a undeniable groove which leaves us a longing for a weekend full of party! 

Trackhighlight: For me I think it’s Floor Dub remix from Reflex Blue in this mix. The energy levels and groove and overall vibe of the track just hits me. The track features meticulous sound design, with layers of synths, groovy basslines and effects that create a rich auditory landscape. This complexity invites repeated listening to appreciate the depth. One of my favorites these days!
