Berlin based Greek artist Georgios Papamanoglou returns to his Deep Series imprint with the ‘Instant Bliss’ EP this March, accompanied by two remixes from Iron Curtis.
Georgios Papamanoglou has been involved in the underground House and Techno scene since the turn of the millennium, making him mark through his multiple imprints Diaphan Music and Deep Series with releases from himself and other artists such as Nekes and Ekkohaus among others. After a few years hiatus 2023 saw Georgios return to relaunch his Deep Series label with the ‘Dark Path’ EP, featuring a remix from fellow Greek Techno stalwart, XDB. Here he returns with his new project ‘Instant Bliss’ made up of two originals and two remixes from the much loved Office Recordings and Hudd Traxx regular, Iron Curtis.
‘Millions Of Sounds’ opens the release and sees Georgios lay down a bubbling arpeggio lead line, shimmering analogue drums and intricately oscillating synth lines all dynamically evolving and unfolding throughout. Iron Curtis’ ‘Drama Mix’ of ‘Instant Bliss’ follows and sees the German artist employ hypnontic atmospherics, cinematics strings and a choppy bass sequence alongside stripped back drums.
Opening the b-side is Iron Curtis’ second remix the ‘Supersorry Mix’ of ‘Instant Bliss’, this time round laying focus on squelchy 303 licks, crisp breakbeats and an underlying textural tension. Papamanaglou’s original of ‘Instant Bliss’ then completes the package, a nine minune cinematic journey through enchanting strings, polyrhythms and robotic glithes.

Alessio Collina is someone who really does live and breather all things dance music. Beginning his musical journey at the young age of 13, he's since become a core pillar of Italy's dance music community, and is much-respected by his musical peers and many fans for eclectic sets and innovative productions that span a wide range of genres, from deep house to techno. Alessio's passion for vinyl and his commitment to high-quality music have earned him recognition from legendary artists like Move D and Kerri Chandler, while he's also well-known as the man behind the much-vaunted Trend Records, a label that was established all of 14 years ago but continues to leave an impact on the scene. 

He's also known for his side project Hill, as well as its accompanying live set. Recently, Alessio showcased his deep connection to his roots by creating an exclusive mix of 100% Italian house tracks for us, highlighting his ability to blend the old with the new while paying homage to his country's rich house music history. What’s your inspiration this fall? 
    
The inspiration this fall comes from the coming darkness here in the northern hemisphere.
We need to bring some light into our lives during this transition.

Who is Dortmund? 

Dortmund is a French Norwegian electronic music duo consisting of Karl Fraunhofer and Florian Grisard. 
The duo draws inspiration from EBM, Techno, electro and house. 
The group members met in 2007 in Oslo and agreed to start producing music together since their taste was 
more or less the same. Both members collect old analog gear as well as modern for their production. 
After Florian had to move back to France, both kept doing music together online.
Both members do solo live acts as well as together. 
Karl does solo productions under Karl Fraunhofer name as well as Dortmund.
The problem is that Florian is sometimes a lazy bitch.
Dortmund has done remix and releases for teenage riot records, turbo recordings, sony, vocabula, Spectrowave,PLOINK, Sofrench and more to come

Tell us about your DJ Profile Mix.
    
The mix I made this fall is a kind of “dry” warming techno vibe that builds up to give more energy.
It starts calm and gets more “dancy" and groovy further out.
I also sneaked in an Acid track, some ruff Techno and a little surprise at the end.
 
What’s the best and the worst of being a dj?

The best with being a dj is to be one with the crowd and share the moment, have good communication and get lost in your own world with the people.
The worst is to sit in dinner party and get the comment: “Hey, you´re a DJ right? Could you put on some music?”. Obviously the people around the table listen to mainstream. It always ends up with banging techno and then you get thrown out. I then end up crying on my way home. No not really, I just go to the club instead…. Oh, did I mention stupid song requests when playing in clubs?

What is a good mixtape for you?

It needs character and a red tail that you can follow. Also a great selection of new or old music most people have not heard of.
I also like when a tape sounds like one long track.
