Very happy to welcome two new faces to Mireia Records: Josh Praus & Layne Fox with their project Dance Station. 
While the two are new to the label, we've been following their music for quite a while already. 
Josh has delivered prolific EPs and remixes for Leng and Roam Recordings. 
Layne is known as a member of 40 Thieves, who have released on Leng & Permanent Vacation. His solo work has appeared on labels like Magic Feet, DFA and Machine Unlimited.

Please meet - Winki Melon, your amusing wingman packed full of excitement and energy. The third, mouthwatering Slimy Gumball flavour from the Det Gode Selskab this winter. Combining with the reveal of their third character the DGS team have invited a host of talent to showcase the juicy sounds within. The next instalment features tracks from Oslo hero Karl Fraunhofer, label co-founder Tod Louie, the legendary Jay Tripwire & JayBee, The Unwanted, Ruuny, and Nattswerm. 

“Rythme Discret” from label regular Karl Fraunhofer creeps mysteriously in the night, meandering through different shades of minimalist and modular vibes. Tod Louie’s “667” is a quirky, energic house number with a certain spring in its step, leading you down the path of the unknown. Next up is Jay Tripwire and JayBee’s ‘FM Ville’, slick and hypnotic sounds from two veterans in the game. The Unwanted deliver further curious output with their “LND” track. Cruising on a rolling arrangement is Ruuny’s “On Time”, banging house music for peak timers. Closing proceedings of the Winki Melon chapter is Nattsverm with his “Døden Av Ymir”, nodding towards a more techno tip with a hint of lo-fi, proving the versatility in the flavours of this series.

Karl Fraunhofer - Rythme Discret

This EP was a long time in the making. The last project completed at my Studio in Detroit before moving to NY a year ago with brother Javonntte - someone I love and respect endlessly. We laid everything down over the course of four days. We played drums together, we had homies in the studio getting down with us while ad libbing parts (you can even hear them in the background if you listen carefully). We ended up with a ton of content that I whittled down, arranged, mixed, edited, and mastered into this. The iconic Delano Smith filled in on remix duties for what was originally slated to be Mike Huckaby who had agreed to do this project just a month before his passing. Del did it justice. The stems were passed back, I mixed it down with extra moody flavor and we agreed it was perfect. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did making it. I love you Huck and I love you Eric and I'm sorry you guys couldn't see the end result.

We are always in search of artists that will continue to push the boundaries from a design perspective when it comes to the creation of their records. It is always a stand out for us when we hear new elements and different creative expression.

Our next release is a depiction of everything combined.

Hailing all the way from Eleusis in Greece, Futur-E delivers his 3-track Taurus EP packed with a heavy artillery of both new and old label family on board the release. Featuring 3 stellar remixes by Julika and Dernaj, Here After and Alegra.

Kicking things off with Taurus, a tribute to the zodiac. This record is a powerful organic piece with a dominant driving low end that takes you on that futurist journey right off the bat, building with tension throughout.

As we move along to Lyra, which references the musical string instrument and greek mythology. Futur-E captures a real industrial feeling, almost placing you in outer space drifting through the arrangement.

Rounding out the release we have a slick, groovin' finisher Scylla, its name sake also taken from greek mythology, Scylla was a mythical sea creature Odysseus and his crew had to pass - the hypotonic vocal cuts create the illusion of the monster being right there with you.
