VALE returns to its origins with the Autism Awareness fundraiser compilation Awareness Vol. II. This Bandcamp driven charity release was available in full on World Autism Awareness Day. All proceeds were donated to the charity, Music for Autism. The artists and label are honored to dedicate our time and effort to the community and improving the lives of others.

Percorso 67

The path bends between beautiful fields of melody and resplendent funky fusion in ‘Percorso 67’.  Captivated by a sincere touch and attention to detail, an uplifting garage beat sets the tempo of this dancey jostle, while the careful arrangement of stringed instrumentation placed throughout this neuro infused soundscape lets the mind unwind and drift apart.  Moments of repose abide and slowly disappear as the pace of the track hastens into ecstatic cascades of unmitigated funk and synthesized choral harmonies, carrying one along to our fabled destination in this soulful production.

After sitting on this piece of music for years, I think I'm finally able to consider it finished. I began writing this piece shortly after coming home from a 16 day trip to Guatemala in the winter of 2014 - 2015, It's heavily inspired by my experiences at Semuc Champey, where the photo in the cover art was taken. Shouts out to all the people who have heard this track way to many times over Skype, and who have endured the billions of versions of rewrites, and re-mixdowns this track has been through.

After a long hiatus away from multi-track releases, the mad genius DET returns with a soulful two-track EP on VALE. While typically known for his schizophrenic compositions, DET explores a new side of music driven by pads and refinement with the OCHA EP. Opening with the title track OCHA, impossibly addictive noir rhythms and fleeting vocals set the stage for beauty in devastation. DET then follows with the inconceivably smooth, downright mind-enslaving track HOMIE. This song is simply an obsession; works of this nature don’t come along often. With the OCHA EP, DET proves his capacity to exceed at multiple musical styles, this time conquering the delicate nuances and patterns of garage. VALE is honored to work with such a talented artist and pioneer of the modern day experimental scene.
