This month's mix features ϙue, Ukrainian artist, co-curator of ІСКРА and part of OO0oϙ0O0O00O, who meticulously honed fluid ties to evoke a sense of equanimity and awe - introducing layers of gradual build-up, being circulated among resonating drones and murky melodies, cultivating sounds at large scale, radiantly snapped by visions through magnetic vulnerability and liberation of untamed esprit.

For their first stint at MUTEK as a duo, the two artists, who had collaborated in various ways before, showcased a convergence of their respective practices: Amselysen, known for their chaotic and iconoclastic interventions and a unique sense of subversion; Racine, renowned for his mastery of spatial and temporal gesturality, often accompanied by a lush sonic vocabulary.

Impact Foundry begins with found and studio-recorded percussion in its purest form. From metal sculptures in the open air to drums recorded in a unique echo chamber, this library reinterprets percussion in new and exciting ways. These are real performances, captured with all the weight and character intact.

We then transformed those raw recordings into towering trailer hits, hybrid combos, driving pulses, and cinematic loops designed to slam hard and cut through any mix.

To round it all out, you'll also find a collection of tonal patches, drones, and pads, each carrying the DNA of the original performances - now refined, layered, and shaped for modern hybrid, trailer, and cinematic scoring.

IF - Tonal Pulses - PWT

The compilation brings together artistic ideas rooted in and around psychedelic and club-oriented music. The A-side focuses on rhythmic, dance-driven tracks, spanning Progressive Psytrance and related styles such as Psytech and darker sonic territories of Psy.

The B-side shifts the focus. Calmer, atmospheric, and more experimental sounds take center stage. Ambient structures open up a more contemplative dimension that has recently become a stronger interest and focus for Trips.

The VA compilation’s fundraising goal is central to the project: at a time when far-right forces are gaining strength and social regression is becoming increasingly visible, we want to take a clear stance. That is why all proceeds from the project will be donated to "Netzwerk Polylux e.V." [https://polylux.network/], which supports antifascist and queer initiatives in eastern Germany.

"Shut Up" is the debut album by i4M2, an alternative moniker for the Oxfordshire-based electronic musician, guitarist and producer 'he didnt' who released the acclaimed "Nothingness Manifested" album. "Nothingness Manifested" received glowing praise from The Quietus, Monolith Cocktail, Bandcamp Daily and airplay from Tom Ravenscroft on BBC 6 Music.

Arriving from the same London scene that spawned Wayne Adams (Pet Brick, JAAW) and Nic Crawshaw (Los Bitchos) i4M2 wound up in a village in rural Oxfordshire to hone his craft in recording and producing in his home studio. This album is a collection of tracks structured around abstract samples, de-tuned synths and found-sounds

"Whilst recognisable glimpses of overheard and taped conversations, of a company of choral singers, and wobbled broadcasts of a kind suggest humanity, there’s much machine coded, synthesised and cybernetic surface noise and unnerving drama to be found.. a sophisticated construction of techno, electronica, the metallic, buzzing and fizzled. Beats arrive in the form of the rotor-bladed, the wing flapped, corrosive, spun, padded and sizzled. Together with those passages and undulations of melody and tune, it sounds like a mix of Nik Colk Void, early Tresor, The Pyrolater, Aphex Twin, Carter and Tutti, Oberman Knocks and Boards of Canada.
