Following a 5-year hiatus from releasing solo material, 2022 proved to be an exceptional year for Swiss production talent @benkaczor, resulting in the release of not one, but two full length albums.

Trailblazing a sound similar to the Prince of Denmark - Ben Kaczor pricked ears for his deft approach for evoking emotion from the classic deep house formula. After reaching out to Carsten Jost and Lawrence, Ben was invited to remix a track from Jost's third album 'La Collectionneuse', which subsequently resulted in the release of his second album through Dial in November.

In our interview we learn more about the makings of 'Petrovo Uho' and his summer vacation in Croatia, which became the backbone of inspiration for his latest album. We also discuss his time spent in China, studio antics and what his personal highlights have been for the year. For the occasion Ben delivers a high velocity club mix featuring music from Marcelus, Karenn, Deadbeat & Sa Pa, Sten, plus unreleased gems.

Somewhere 12 comes from spiritual companion Luis Martin Gonzalez. An untraceable lineage of deep, ritualistic musings that goes deep into the bowels of an enveloping, psychoactive listening environment.

On the surface, ceremonious cycles of sound produce a trance-induced delirium. But as these incantations take hold, the spacious repetitions give way to hypnotic visions of an expansive sonic underworld. “on sight: bring back home” aims to highlight one of the many consequences of the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine: the illegal forced displacement of Ukrainian children by Russian authorities. The goal is to raise money for a Ukrainian organization, Save Ukraine. One of their main projects, “Save Abducted Children,” focuses on finding, identifying, and returning Ukrainian children who were taken by Russia from occupied territories.

According to Save Ukraine’s research, more than 19,546 abducted Ukrainian children have been identified. The exact number of children taken from Ukraine to Russia during the war is unknown.

February 24, 2022, Russia has illegally transferred or deported at least 19,546 unaccompanied Ukrainian children and adolescents from the occupied territories of Ukraine to the Russian Federation. This is the official figure that appears on the Ukrainian government portal ChildrenOfWar.gov.ua. However, these government statistics include only those children whose transfer was officially reported to the Ukrainian central government by Ukrainian relatives, witnesses, or communities. The real number of affected children is probably much higher.
