DAAT’s new 4 track EP explores the outer cusp of the philosophy that has informed their music to date: theorised worlds, autonomous life and interactive environments. Delivering 4 distinctively different tracks, DTND004 is an explicit look behind the curtain of the duo’s creativity.

In this world, the planet is fully colonized by technology and the distinction between living organisms and machines is ambiguous. Individual identity exists at various physical scales, but the individual exists always as a component of some larger organism.

Having already enjoyed support from BBC Radio 1, DTND004 is poised to be DAAT’s most notable work. Operating outside the confines of genre or scene restrictions, we are now beginning to see DAAT move into a flow state.

In a world that is fully explored, where knowledge is complete, what happens when something unknown appears, such as an island emerging from the sea? How do the interconnected machines react, from where do their decisions originate, and to where does the information flow?
