I didn't. welcome to dating a musician. whenever I publish this (probably never? it's too much. we'll probably both be dead.) of course I won't use your name. but for real, I mean you gotta admit, this is track is a pretty good representation of our time together. I haven't heard this in years. it used to sink me into a pit of darkness, now I listen to it and just think, "wow, damn bri thanks for the epic voicemail that inspired a piece music!" I do hope you're well, truly. I'm glad we connect once a year or so, just so I can hear how well Alden is excelling in music. I doubt he'll ever connect the dots about what this is, I wouldn't worry too much. If he does, he'll probably understand that you and I were like fire and the ocean floors colliding.

"Diametry" is a work about duality. It is an awakening from a nightmare. It is an escape into a dream. An ascension from madness into sublimity. 

Two diametric objects are binary opposites of eachother, such as water and land, but are connected symbolically and symbiotically. Both are necessary to the survival and existance of the other, each completing the circular motion of life. Two diametric people share more in common with eachother than anyone else in the world. 

"Diametry" is a story about transformation.

Fidelium - Streetlight Daydream

On the 14th of February, 1990 the Voyager Spacecraft took an impromptu image of Planet Earth from 3.7 billion miles away. This stark image that displays our home from the edge of the Solar System was the brainchild of renowned astronomer Carl Sagan. Sagan’s image, coined “Pale Blue Dot”, would forever challenge our perspective on ourselves and our imagined self-importance.

February 14th, 2019 marks the 29th anniversary of Sagan’s timeless image going public and also the release of IDMf054. With IDMf054 music producers MANTON are imparting an avant guard, electronically charged, audible trip through space. Inspired by the Voyager spacecraft, launched by NASA on 5th September 1977 including the contents of the Golden Record, Don’t Panic takes you on a journey through our solar system, to what may lie beyond.

With The Pale Blue Dot Sagan presents what amounts to be his love letter to Planet Earth. With Don’t Panic MANTON presents the same for Electronic Music Production. The IDMf Netlabel is honored to present it to you. IDMf054 is a release that is best played in a single sitting. Sit back, turn it up and let go.
