The battle with that Part of Teddie was short lived. It wasn't long before they started to run when attacking it didn't work.

The shadow, towering over Tamari and Luigi, swiped his claw at them, which they barely avoid. The sheer pressure from the swing, however, sent both of them flying across the caverns at differing directions. 
As the damaged android landed, now separated from the plumber, and shakily tried to stand; when the Part of Tamari showed their face, blankly staring. 

And Tamari realized that they were both beside a Mirror.

The counterpart asked Tamari why they acted like this. Why they ran away. Why they thought any of their plans would work. A supercomputer for a brain and they can't see that everything they do is completely irrational and stupid?

Tamari stared their counterpart down, eyes narrowed. For once, he's silent. They have nothing to say to their counterpart - not like they're *anything* alike.
The Part of Tamari shrugs, and reaches a hand out toward Tamari.

[Tamari was pushed into the mirror.]
