I wrote this short and meaningful song as a "harana" for her, dedicated for our anniversary last June.

It’s her.

One day, I just felt it. It just happened. 
It made me step out of my comfort zone, made me confident enough to confess. 
I knew this wasn’t actually me, but I was changed.
If you felt it, it would be different. 
As I’ve said in the lyrics, it made my heart wonder, but there's only one answer.. It's her. 
It's because it's her. Simply her. 
I did everything to hear her say “YES”, and from that moment, I knew that I never want to lose her.

“Scent”, as I have mentioned on the Chorus part, says how I feel calm and at ease whenever she’s beside me or anywhere near me.
We attend the same school, however, we have different classes. Yet, knowing that she’s just a few rooms away from me, I’d still feel happy. Also, the “scent” is somehow what I always remember when we're far away. Even when we’re not together, that “scent” just suddenly comes to my mind, and it makes me feel better. 

"The beauty of your kiss and the magic of your touch" means that everyday has its own stories, but at the end of the day, I know that there's a goodbye kiss and hug that’s waiting for me. These things make it all better no matter how tiring the day was. It relieves both our stress and that's why the little things really matter to me.

So, guys, make everyday meaningful for the both of you. Support each others’ goals, be each other’s home, not an outlet of negativities after a bad day, and always have each other’s back.
Just be happy because we’ll never know what tomorrow has promised.

What's up, what's up? To begin with, my name is De-Va'Je Mathis. I am an R&B singer born and raised in Aiken, South Carolina. 
Musically, my different tone of voice makes me stand out. I have a rare sound and just by my appearance you can guess, I stand out from a crowd. 
I've been musically active for 12 years, which started with my deceased cousin, Young Chuck, whom encouraged me to sing beginning at the age of 16. 
Young Chuck, who is now deceased, inspired me to pursue music. 
I am currently promoting my new hit single "In The Mirror" (beat produced by Cashous Clay), which will be released on December 25, 2014.
