Devandran Karunakaran immensely appreciates his college experience, which exposed him to a range of diverse cultural backgrounds. He has tried to stay in touch with many friends he met during this period, such as his university housemate, who was even the best man at his wedding! During his time at Leicester University, Devandran was also a particularly active rugby team member. Afterwards, he left for London to pursue a career in law and managed to secure a competitive training contract with a renowned British firm - much to his delight. Though their family beckoned from Singapore, he chose instead to remain in London.
