Today I found a CDR I burned years ago (guessing between 98-2002?) labelled "old tracker noise". This was the first tune on it. I'm pretty sure this is one of my earliest messabouts in fast tracker 2 when in high school, so 95-97?  I had no illusions about trying to make actual "music" at that point and was just up late at night messing around with noise and videogame samples, making stupid shit a little bit, searching for info on the fastest and craziest electronic music out there. and maybe trying to do something aligned to that without understanding about cutting up breakbeats or anything.  

This is so terrible I'll probably take it down tomorrow, but I'm posting it because it legit made me laugh out loud twice while listening, and it almost sounds like videogame splittercore to me or something. 

Listening now I  can't tell if the way the volume jumps around in the track was an intentional thing or I just didn't know what I was doing. I think the answer is "yes".  Also the joke melody at the end. - what the hell???

It's kind of blowing my mind because I think if I tried to make a joke horrible track, if ANYONE in 2021 tried to make a joke horrible track, it still wouldn't sound as bad as this.  

Anyway check it out  and please don't judge 25 year later me by it. Another PO-33 Jungle release coming soon on a friend's label, maybe some breakcore eventually.

11 Seconds of beats

Early track I found from 2000-2002 (when I was just starting out)... Early attempt at algorithmic composition, cutting up japanese horror movies and using fractals to sequence them.  I'll eventually post a full bandcamp release of this stuff as soon as I sort out the WAVs and some kind of mastering.
