The piece was composed for the Edinburgh  University Composers Orchestra and performed live at their chamber concert in the spring of 2016. 
 
Yo-sen is a scale used in Japanese shakuhachi music. The piece combines harmonies and melodies derived from this scale, with rhythms from the percussion ensembles of Korean gugak court music. When playing rhythmically, the strings, vibraphone and piano takes the role of pitched percussion with multiple overlaying rhythmical figures. The open improvised sections are ment to evoke associations of Japanese and Korean mountainous landscapes.

BBC Sherlock Theme || Piano Solo

The player embodies an ancient dragon flying over the elaborate landscapes of a fantasy island. The experience is developed for HTC Vive. 

Orchestral music with string, brass and a solo trumpet was chosen to capture the epic nature of the game. It is split into two major sections, the Flying theme and the Mountain theme. The Flying theme uses bright sustained strings in major chords and improvised phrases on airy trumpet in order to create an uplifting and calm feeling. The Mountain theme is majestic, a slow melody in low brass supported by cellos and double bass. This is accompanied by the deep and steady thunder of Japanese Taiko drums.

The music is designed to be adaptive, with the Mountain theme fading in as the player approaches the mountain ranges of the island.

The Game We Play is a short film directed by Marc-Aurèle Otto Palla. 

It won the Spotlight Award at the Elevation Inside Film Awards and was on the official selection of Cardiff International Film Festival 2017, Self Propelled Film Festival 2018, Short to The Point 2017, and Direct Short Online Film Festival 2018.
