The War {Original}

This is one of my older songs, Tennessee. I wrote this over 6 or so years ago.... Finally able to get a somewhat decent recording amidst my baby crying every other minute!

Its crazy to revisit this song after so many years. The second verse and chorus say:

"Maybe You'll surprise me and we will go off riding into places I have never seen, with the souls of my feet. And maybe when we get there the weather wont be so fare, but thats alright with me, as long as you're with me-
I wanna know what it means to be, anywhere but completely, completely free, And even if shackles should bind my feet, I'll still breath, I'll still breath"

Little did I know this would actually be something God would do. He would take me somewhere that I don't like. Somewhere the weather is seriously not my favorite at all. Somewhere where I am forced to learn to be ANYWHERE yet free, content and secure in CHRIST. Not my surroundings. Not my circumstances. Not anything but Him. It's hard coming from the beach. Super hard. Coming from my friends and family. Coming from 75 degrees year round lol. Yet, I know He is enough.

Theres other messages in this song as well, about pursuing dreams and basically the journey that God takes us all on. Life is a journey that looks different for all of us. But the important thing is to be where He wants us, doing what He wants THRU us, not what we want.

Christians are crazy man! But love makes you do crazy things.
