His sets are composed for darks rhythms, strange textures and always try to make envelope techno.

He played in clubs like Sala Sonora (Bilbao), Elecktra Club, Soma Underground Experience, and many others..

Reclaim Your City 064 | Takaaki Itoh (Sendai)

Techno hit Japan hard in the early 1990s. Surprised, Takaaki Itoh was quickly impressed and intrigued with this new sound. The unique style of beats revealed the gateway to a new world of underground music in Japan - something he had never heard before. Surprise slowly gave way to addiction when Takaaki Itoh was exposed to the sounds of such artists and labels as Underground Resistance, Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Hardfloor, Sven Väth, Harthouse, Warp and Rising High. This was his sound, and deciding he just couldn't get enough of it, in 1994 Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan. By providing a fantastic lineup, his parties quickly became a success. 

In 1996, having decided that it was time to start making his own tracks, Takaaki Itoh emerged to purchase the vital instruments to begin production. After sending out three finished projects to various labels, Electracom UK was fortunate enough to put Takaaki's first material out. This moment was something he will never forget, as he was finally able to hear his own music on vinyl. Several releases followed with Electracom as his tracks began to appear in magazine DJ charts in well known DJs from around the world. In 2000, Takaaki Itoh made his European debut in Slovakia. People recognized that he had his own style. His Japanese style of techno was pure, unique and underground - nothing that had been heard before in Europe. His reputation and popularity quickly spread all over the continent. He was becoming recognized as Japan's most underground and respected techno DJ. 

As of 2001 he was getting offers to perform at large clubs and festivals all over Europe, including Cosmic Trip and Svojsice in the Czech Republic, The Darkside in England, MTW in Germany, Awakenings and Reactor in Holland, Mayday and Sziget in Hungary, La Real and Code in Spain, Boomerang in Slovakia, Projekt in Belgium, as well as events in Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia. Slovenia.. Promoters wanting him, party people loving him, Takaaki Itoh took the next step and started his own label Wols. Passion led to success and Takaaki became recognized as the top of the next generation of techno music. 

By 2005 Takaaki Itoh has released over 50 original productions on many different european labels like Sheep, Tsunami, Warm Up, Theory, MB Selektions, Integrale Muzique, etc. He’s also developed a reputation for remixing globally established techno artists such as Gennaro Le Fosse, Oscar Mulero, Christian Wünsch and more to come. His demand is rapidly growing beyond his Asian and European roots, to places like South America, Australia, the US and Canada.

Hioll has become one of the main influences within the rising Cuban electronic music scene. Respected and admired not only in his homeland of Cuba, but among the entire techno community of the world.

Established Abstraction in 2017, the first electronic music label ever in Cuba’s history and which is dedicated to showing the most outstanding talents from the island. But that has subsequently evolved to welcome new international artists and, as such, become a widely supported source of dance-floor cuts.

As a producer, Hioll's tracks exist in a powerful aesthetic crossroads, which looks simultaneously from the most daring and strange hypnotic Techno to the most bizarre and Industrial. He has many successful releases in respected and well known labels like Flash Recordings, Bipolar Disorder Records, Drvms Ltd, Suara or his own labels, Abstraction and Hioll. Being played and supported by big industry names such as Dax J, Paula Temple, I Hate Models or Keith Carnal, just to name a few.

This suggests a versatile artist with a strong personality, capable of generating rich and truly unique ideas and, eventually, translating them into a varied context of unprecedented sound experiences.

Born in Warsaw, he has been closely associated with the club culture of the capital of Poland for over a dozen years. The heavy sounds extracted from the black plastic disc inspired him to do more, to go a step further and create his own music. He sought inspiration in crowded cities and the correlation of nature with industrialized society. In music, he looks for something that is not obvious and still to discover. He is focus on his original productions, where you will find a rich mixture of dense industrial atmosphere, off beats sounds and monumental film music elements driven by energetic kick. He releases his music on VSK's CRS ltd, Secret Keywords or Newrhythmic recs to name a few and his performance can be found in most clubs in Europe.

For the past fifteen years Argentinian-born, Barcelona-based producer Pfirter has been pushing a sound by turns steely, dark and uplifting, true to the founding principles of the techno's tetramorph but eager to throw his own vanguard, personal touch into the mix.

From the early days onward, and no matter the medium of expression he's used, be it DJing, producing or as a label owner, Pfirter has kept working his magic with focus and style, gracing the likes of CLR, Figure and Stroboscopic Artefacts with some choice singles whilst headlining some of the most infamous electronic music bastions and events including Berghain, Tresor, Concrete, Awakenings and Time Warp. Ever since he embarked on his first European tour back in 2005, Juan Pablo has tirelessly worked at shaping one of the most idiosyncratic sounds in contemporary electronic music and successfully so.

Fully geared to withstand the test of time, his sound crucially combines the heavy thump of stadium-sized kicks with the kind of textured organic reliefs and hypnotic sub-bass motifs that a thousand listens couldn't make any less penetrating. 2006 saw the birth of his own imprint, MindTrip (whose name says it all), and that's become one of the brightest beacons in the ever-changing landscape of techno music; serving as both a landing platform of choice for his own output but also his close friends and collaborators' including Jonas Kopp, Stanislav Tolkachev, Dold, Fanon Flowers and more. In parallel, MindTrip also flourished through its monthly podcast series, welcoming the likes of Antigone, Markus Suckut, Milton Bradley, Pär Grindvik, Jeroen Search and a host more exciting and singular artists, all invited to present an hour of music that captures the spirit and values of MindTrip.

After releasing over fifty club-formatted records, time had come for Pfirter to take the leap with his debut full-length, 'The Empty Space', which provides a widescreen, panoramic view into the subtle intricacies and multi- level wealth of details of his craft, as well as the large spectrum of emotions his music merges and blends so organically. Deftly bridging the gap between the inner and the outer, the fierce and the collected, Pfirter's been collating pieces of work that may seem just as eloquent when taken aside, but whose impact reveals incredibly higher when taken as a whole. Not just piling up the pumpers, although his 12''s keep topping the specialized charts, Juan Pablo has proven that the depth of his compositions is not one to fade when the strobes go out, but that’s rather well tailored to haunt his listener's febrile mind long after the club's shut its doors. Darkness has rarely been so cozy.
