The Cave (Mumford & Sons)

I've been hard at work on the new QQB tracks this week, but for now something completely different.
Here's some fairly sloppy guitar playing from me and some rather better singing from my good friend Clare on a song she enjoys and forced me at gunpoint to learn. I'm not the world's biggest fan of Nirvana OR Evanescence (whose cover of HSB this cover is based on), double trouble! Despite these hurdles, I have overcome, and the end result is pretty nice really, I'm sure you'll agree. Lady has some pipes!

This version of Dream Theater's classic track was not created by me, but I can't find the original user. It's been one of my favourite things for many years. It's tagged as Johnny Fabrizio in my mp3s, so if anyone knows who it is, don't hesitate to let me know.

I'm experimenting with some very simple, atmospheric music at the moment, mostly to build up experience and try some different things. I used my Mooer Ocean Machine's 'Low Bit' delay setting for that buzzing undertone on the guitar and whacked up the reverb high on my violin.

Dreamtime

Current work in progress. I think it stands pretty nicely as an instrumental track at the moment, but I might add some vocals later. My first bit of proper practice with Pro Tools First, which is pretty great for a free piece of software but bizarrely limited to only having 3 project files before you either have to delete one or pay money for an upgrade.
