Phoenix Rising

The aftermath was bleak: entire regions plunged into darkness without their energy sources. The Hero stumbled through Ithris Cemetery, where makeshift graves marked those who had fallen in battle or been consumed by the tower’s collapse.
Yet amidst despair, something miraculous occurred. Near a volcanic site where ash blanketed everything, vibrant flowers began to bloom—bright reds and yellows defying destruction. Nature was healing itself in ways no one could have predicted.

Ambivalence

Zenerith landed beside the Hero, wounded but alive. “Life finds a way,” the dragon said solemnly.
The Hero knelt among the flowers, clutching Clem the Guide’s pendant—the only remnant of their companion after the implosion. They vowed to honor Clem’s sacrifice by helping rebuild what remained.

Meteor Trails

The Hero’s emotional solitude was interrupted by a thunderous roar that shook the valley. Zenerith, an ancient dragon whose scales shimmered like molten silver, descended from the clouds. The Hero instinctively reached for their blade but froze as Zenerith’s voice echoed in their mind.
“Do not fear me,” Zenerith said. “I come with a warning. The Great War is not over—it has merely shifted.”
The dragon explained how the energy sources were unraveling, destabilizing the world itself. “The tower at Ithris holds the key,” Zenerith continued. “It must be protected—or destroyed—before its collapse ends all life.”
The Hero hesitated but knew there was no choice. Clem’s pendant pulsed brighter as if urging them forward.

At the Source

As spring returned to Ithris Valley, hope bloomed alongside wildflowers growing from ashes—a testament to resilience and rebirth.

Alone No More

As battle erupted around them, the Hero fought their way inside. Ithris hummed with unstable energy; cracks spread across its walls as if it were alive and dying simultaneously. At its center, they found a massive core—a swirling vortex of light and shadow that powered not just the tower but the surrounding lands.
Zenerith appeared outside, battling enemies to buy time. “Destroy it!” the dragon roared telepathically.
But as the Hero raised their blade, Clem’s voice echoed from within the vortex: “Don’t! There’s another way!” Clem had been trapped within this energy nexus all along—a prisoner of its power.

Chain Reaction

Torn between saving Clem the Guide and preventing catastrophe, the Hero hesitated too long. The core imploded, sending shockwaves across the land. The tower crumbled into ash as energy sources throughout Ithris and beyond flickered out permanently.

Flatline

Survivors gathered in Ithris Valley, drawn by rumors of new growth amidst devastation. Together with Zenerith and other allies, they began forging a new path—one without reliance on unstable energy sources.
The Hero became a symbol not just of survival but of renewal. Though haunted by loss, they found solace in leading others toward a brighter future.
