I was sent a few EP's from Terra Null Recordings over the past six months, and the label manager expressed his interest in the sounds that Mauoq and I had been producing. Not too much later and he asked us if we'd like to remix one of the tracks from the Eppileptech EP, which, we both agreed, sat down and created our take on the track. In my opinion, it captures the vibes we'd been working with over 2013, and also has introduced some new styles and techniques that we'd both been using this year. Hope you enjoy!

Epilleptech - Premonition (Dexta & Mauoq Refix) [Terra Null]

Chris Royle aka Dexta is a London based DJ/Producer who has been slowly contributing to the D&B scene since 2010. He is one of the co-founders of the giraffe mad record label imprint ‘Diffrent Music’ and has been fronting and developing the label ever since. 

Dexta has taken the Diffrent Music sound on the road since 2010 and tends to play an unexpected selection of music at every event. Bringing through new and unheard of artists, friends and collaborators and even influential music from outside of the D&B circuit.

Dexta has been a releasing artist since 2013 and since has released music on Protect Audio, Diffrent Music, Flexout Audio & Dispatch Recordings, with other work signed to and forthcoming on Clyon Recordings, Nurtured Beatz and his own imprint Diffrent Music.

Much like the Diffrent Music label ‘sound’, Dexta has a wide range of musical influences and this shines through when you listen over his output and the Diffrent Music back catalogue, it’s very hard to pin down a specific kind of style, it’s more about exploring and experimenting with new and different areas every time.

You can look forward to hearing and the possibility of releases of ‘communal’ and ‘general’ collaborations with artists such as Arkaik, Crypticz, Fearful, Lakeway, Mauoq, Mtwn & Sense MC.
