About the release
"Drumline" immediately impresses with its chunky rhythmic groove. Toms and snares vie for attention as effects and drum fills crackle and fizz across the stereo spectrum. Beautifully textured pads enter the fray and a crystalline lead is filled with Vangelis overtones. Juxtaposed against the sophisticated rhythmic narrative, the atmospheric melodic phrasing adds gravitas and melancholic power to an aptly named track.

We are thrilled to have a new EP from our very own Mastering Engineer, @robertmasonofficial. Robert has been busy in the studio all throughout the pandemic, creating dynamic sounds in his lab.

The Return to Danger Bay EP is a power-packed two tracker with each sound perfectly crafted. Texturally, the EP has sonic warmth within the intensity of the tunes themselves. The title track, Return to Danger Bay, is a rager while Sudden Vertical Shift is exactly as the name suggests, creating a great b-side.

'Returning to Proton Music in October 2018, the "Audacity" EP represented Simos Tagias at his finest with two exceptional original tracks. Remixes from a Croatian superstar and Australian mainstay now continue the story.

An undisputed master of his craft, Petar Dundov has represented the underground dance scene with considerable aplomb for over 25 years. With his innovative sound design and unique sonic architecture, the Croatian has been at the vanguard of a genre-defying sound that perhaps identifies most closely to techno for Dundov himself. Melding rhythm and melody in distinctive patterns that have mesmerised global audiences at festivals such as, "I Love Techno" and "EXIT, and clubs including and Tokyo's "Womb" and Berlin's achingly cool "Berghain", work for a plethora of blue-chip imprints has appeared in tandem. Sergey Muzarks gets 2021 off to a promising start with his third and much anticipated Soundteller Records EP. 2020 saw the Russian artist release two projects via the Polish imprint, while also showcasing his music on Freegrant and Matan Caspi & Stan Kolev’s Outta Limits imprint. Now continuing to expand on his progressive minded sound, Sergey presents his ‘Radiance’ EP to begin the new year.

Beginning with the title cut Sergey crafts a melodic slice of progressive house. Free and flowing from the outset, its rolling low end is powered with mountainous bass tones while clattering percussion and wispy effects fill in the framework. Metallic melodies, cosmic arps and warm atmospheres rise across the first act, smoothly shifting energy into the main break, where cinematic pads and warm swells unite for a powerful crescendo and driving drop.

The companion piece ‘Lost World’ caps off the EP with a similarly groovy ethos. Once again backed by a well carved foundation, it’s a wave of detailed percussion and liquid-like melodies which push momentum forward. Tranquil arps rise, adding a smooth rhythmic quality, while soulful vocal pads and emotive chord changes segue into the break. As the centrepiece evolves so to does it’s emotional appeal, eventually melting down to a warm glow as the beats drop for a groovy final act. It rounds out a stunning two track offering from Sergey Muzarks, who makes an excellent return to Soundteller Records to begin the year. Highly recommended.

Dexter Curtin & Marcus Jahn are Leipzig based artists who have been in great harmony since 2012. The charismatic duo has been drawing attention with their releases on 3rd Avenue / MNL (Manual Music) / ICONYC / Massive Harmony / Another Life Music / Evitative & more. Their sound is reflected in the genre of progressive house, organic house, tech house & techno.

When they first met in 2012, both felt that they were a surprisingly good fit from the start. The combination of their different mixing skills and styles make their sets unique & take you on an unforgettable journey of the ultimate groove. You can feel the passion in their joint projects, as there is always a surprising, fresh and epic sound.

So it didn't take long for the duo to start playing gigs together & hosting events in different clubs, which created a great response in the Leipzig scene. In addition to continuously expanding their collaboration, they also started working together in the studio in 2016 & released on various labels around the globe since October 2016.
