Rogue D is the new solo project from Danny Minchella. Under this new moniker he delivers the eagerly awaited Chains. Set to be one of the biggest tracks of the year, it’s a high octane, club-ready number with abundant driving percussion. Unstoppable force Patrick Topping is also back on home ground for the remix.

“Chains was inspired by Jamie 3:26’s and Cratebug’s edit of Loretta Holloway ‘Hit N Quit’ - I wanted a simple, raw track, killer bassline and a soulful vocal. The process was very fast and I made the majority of the groove in one morning. I dug deep in my collection, looking for that special vocal and came across Steve Silk Hurley’s “Chain of Fools’ (with Aretha Franklin on the original vocal), and it just made the record pop!” - Rogue D

As an artist Minchella has played some of the world’s most esteemed establishments and released on a wealth of high profile labels. He now aims to use his Rogue D guise as a means to express his forward thinking and personal tastes in sound- from techno to old school garage to the sounds of Detroit. He’s already released on DFTD as well as providing a remix of Soul Clap’s Misty on Classic Music Company.

In his relatively short career so far, label favourite Patrick Topping has made the cover of Mixmag, won a coveted DJ Mag Best Of British award and made the Resident Advisor Top 100 DJs. He’s released some of the biggest tracks on Hot Creations and is resident for Jamie Jones’ Paradise at DC10. On his rework of Chains, Topping isolates the vocal and adds a tribal bounce to proceedings.

It’s the message of Greg and Voitek’s Music Manifesto last year. It’s the message they’ve lived and worked by since before their days as 3 Channels: stay curious, have faith in others, appreciate life. Take what you do seriously, but don’t take life seriously… How we live it is ‘The Choice’ we all have to make. 
A bold statement against insular club culture, closed minds and lack of innovation, ‘The Choice’ continues Catz ‘N Dogz positive broadcasts with the help of Miss Bunty and three great friends on remix duties. Bunty instantly flips us back 25 years to a warehouse in New Jersey with a soulful, provocative sermon about the best things in life, people and places. She wraps herself tightly around a thumping, grainy jacking acid beat creating instant uplift, focus and a lesson we should all aspire to. 
Her powerful delivery works just as effectively over all remixes. Belgian Beton returns to Pets with a darker, rippling rhythm that drops its anchor in the timeless techno abyss while Bawrut continues the rich vein of form he’s developed on Ransom Note with a caustic frenzy of breaks, acid and raw, gut-wrenching sirens. Finally we have Soul Notes and Shall Not Fade affiliate Adryiano close the case. Laying down a bed of peppy organs, he creates a fittingly classic garage vibe for Bunty to sign out to. "Rose's fourth EP, "A Different Story", is - as the name suggests - diferent than the previous ones. With the opening track "Waited for you" the listener gets flashbacks to the 80ies, due to an euphoric synth line and a classic baseline. The second track featuring Heath Ledger’s opinion on journalist criticising Broke Back Mountain, immediately pulls you in. Its story with a trancey syntline and the techno beat "tension" is a true floor filler. The last track - again - totally differs from the other ones, with a groovy baseline. The aggressive base melody on top makes it a great energy booster to be danced upon all night long.

Rose Ringed- I Waited For You

With Topping describing the EP’s title track as the “heaviest” thing he’s ever produced, ‘Dungeon Freak’ is an unrelenting slab of rave techno, with Daddy Dino’s deadpan, spoken-word vocals only adding to it’s dark aura. Similarly cold and heavy, ‘Snide’ is a chunky, metallic number that continues to build in intensity across its seven minutes.     

“This EP is more like the vibe of ‘Watch What Your Doing’ EP. The title track is so dark, with mad ravey synths but the bit I’m most excited about is the vocal! 
“The phrase ‘the techno dungeon’ is really just a daft thing me and mates used to say years ago about when you are locked on the dancefloor and can’t leave because your so into the music. So it’s more a metaphorical place in your mind, than it is an actual dungeon or venue!”

TRICK was initially launched as a platform to exhibit Topping’s versatility as a producer, as well as a platform to showcase the wealth of emerging talent which he has been pushing in his DJ sets. Prior to ‘Dungeon Freak’ he has released two EPs on the label, ‘Watch What Ya Doing’ and ‘Turbo Time’. The latter of which was selected as the ‘Hottest Record’ on BBC Radio 1, gaining support from the likes of Gerd Janson, Denis Sulta, Fisher, Diplo, Eats Everything and Jamie Jones.
