our first ever release, back when we were signed to Jynnji. That was back in 2018. 

I decided to remaster it to make it sound like it should do. DVEC are electronic musical pioneers travelling a different path, they have never met, nor spoken to each other, they even live on different continents, the music is made through emails sent back and forth. Eunice Cazarez is a Mexican American Artist living in Portland Oregon, Dexuality Valentino is a creative based in the UK one part of the Broken Toy Company. Together they are an accidental transatlantic band.

DVEC are pioneers, exploring places so far away from the safe and snug bubble of all accepted musical knowledge that it can be scary at times for the faint-hearted. Once you’ve pressed play on the opening track, “Letting The Days Go By”, you will realize that currently nothing else is even in the same universe as DVEC, not even remotely so.

Continuously morphing soundscapes, echoing spoken-word narratives, and ever-changing percussive rhythms come at you in spades. There’s no dancing to be done here, intelligent or otherwise. In an ocean of stagnant and floundering creativity, DVEC have reached the shoreline of something new.

Automated Alice

DVEC are electronic musical pioneers travelling a different path, they have never met, nor spoken to each other, they even live on different continents, the music is made through emails sent back and forth.
   
Early 2019 Eunice Cazarez, one half of DVEC, reconnected with homeland, the trip had an incredibly emotional impact on her, filling her with pride and love for Mexico. 

She is one of the ‘Dreamers’ you may have heard spoken of, she was born in Mexico and at one year old moved with her family to California. This track see’s her reconnect with her routes and celebrate what Mexico means to her. 

The track is being released on Mexico’s independence day 16th September, ‘Grito de Dolores’ and will be released as a double A side EP in both English and Mexican.
