Lose Control

Tyler Dean is a local DJ working mostly in uptown, highland park, or his home bar The Corner Bar. He showed me his version of what was then “I’m From Dallas,” and it caught my attention and I immediately began working on lyrics and concept. I wrote the lyrics and started performing the song live, it was an instant hit amongst the crowds. Particularly at Ash Studios where Clyde Valentin could see the success of this song. (Hopefully he will be the one to produce the video). I knew that if this song was going to be a hit we would have to BEEF it up. So I experimented with the sounds of Dillon Frances & Zedd two hot DJ producers along with Diplo. I did my research again on patches and sounds with Josh Goode and we began our collaboration which later became “Dallas, Bitch!” it commanded attitude and also felt good to self-proclaim my city. 
I am huge fan of the EDM music. Even though EDM is frowned upon from musicians or listeners who would rather hear live instrumentation on a record. I felt that the music complimented my voice and gave me the freedom to belt and dance. I am very good friends with Ashley Brightwell of MIOW and he connected me with Chris Lund Left/Right & FUTURE. Lund was very busy working on his EP and throwing epic FUTURE shows that he referred me to Kevin Bhatti (Tev Woods) a well known producer out of the Netherlands. Tev communicated to me though Zander & Doobs of Prime Night Culture and together they recorded vocals and the song “Higher” was released Digitally in Holland on July 2, 2015 with Trapdoor. “Higher” was also promoted by the ever popular EDM.com which help Tev Woods & Dezi 5 achieve 100,000 + listeners on SoundCloud. Unfortunately the song isn’t available here in the U.S. anymore but I included the YouTube link which also has 6k views. 
Once Goode & I finished their final mix of “Dallas, Bitch!, we both agreed that the song must be mixed by someone who knows and understands EDM. I immediately contacted Doobs & Zander to help us find the right guy and they both recommended Chris Lund. So now Chris Lund is going to work on the soon to be mastered “Dallas, Bitch!”

Dezi 5 is an electrifying perform and artist with the intent to bring people of all HUMAN kind together. Dezi began performing and creating music in his hometown Dallas, Texas. Recognized for his high energy shows he began to collaborate with producers and song writers to find his sound. In 2014 he released his first single “Lose Control” which gave him great local success. In 2015 Dezi released his first EP “Crucifixion on the Dance Floor,” after releasing his self proclaimed city anthem “Dallas, Bitch!” That same year he performed a live crucifixion with local visual artist and musicians. 

After being selected as “Best Live Act” in Dallas, Texas. Dezi moved to New York City where he released his second EP “Club Kids,” a deep house album inspired by the Brooklyn Night Life featuring “Controversial LUV (Bushwig Reality)” as well as his deep house track 3:00AM. 

In 2019 Dezi joined the independent bi-coastal label 11A records and together they released the Billboard featured “Lady,” a soulful song that showcases his love for soul music from artist such as Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke & Ray Charles. Now he’s about to release his highly anticipated single “The Night,” the first single from his forth coming album “HUMAN.”
