Born in KwaZulu-Natal, Dundee, the multi-talented Urban Gospel Singer, Songwriter and Recording artist spent her formative years driven by a dream planted when she was just 5 years old. This is the life of Desiree Bernadette Gaskin.

When she was little, she and her big sister would tag along to her dad’s band practice sessions and would do backups for them, it just made her love singing even more. She later began singing in church at 12 years old. She started out as a backup singer and became a lead singer when she was 16 years old. This is when she wrote her first 2 songs on her album, “Jesus is The Only Way” and “My Child”. She always kept the dream alive by writing songs. People who always inspired her despite her dad have be renown artists like Whitney Houston, Yolanda Adams and Fred Hammond.

Her all time favorite is “Jesus is the Only Way” because she ultimately believes there is no other way. “There is a way that seems right to a man but the end leads to his death and destruction” she’d quote. If we want to see heaven and eternal life it is only if we accept Christ into our lives. Jesus is the way, the truth, the life.

Her lifelong passion for music and desire to know, love, obey and enjoy God has taken her thus far, and there’s much to expect from this aspiring artist. She’s worked with artists like Daylan Smith (Durban), Leaveil Eaton (Durban), Tanya Michelle (Cape Town), Kah Dee (Cape Town), DJ Eazy (Cape Town) and F.O.E.T.U.S (Cape Town). Her current producers are Verd and Leaveil Eaton, Jeremy Koeries and Paul Stainbank
