This week we bring you an exciting collaboration between our longtime contributor Mino (Roddy Rich, YBN Nahmir, Tory Lanez) and English composer/producer Benji Miller (Rejje Snow, BENEE, Julia Michaels, Aries). Together they weave between each other’s worlds, their versatility as instrumentalists on display using a Bechnestein upright piano, fender Rhodes, Roland TR-66, mellotron, moog model d, Juno 106, DX7, CS-60, all run through vintage guitar amps & mics, using analog and classic methods with a modern palette of influences.

The most unique collaborations are able to push beyond the limitations of each creator into new territory, and Mino and Benji play up each other’s strengths to the benefit of you, the listener.

Here with his Kingsway Music Library debut is from Toronto-born multi instrumentalist and producer The 25th Hour. Using an impressive swatch of instruments, from Rippen and Nordheimer upright pianos, U40 organ, Fender Rhodes, guitars, basses and a wide variety of synths, he constantly shifts musical flavours and vibes, and by running it through everything from reel to reel tape, vintage tube amps and compressors the character of recordings shines through.

The 25th Hour has compiled an elaborate collection of material that has the mature sensibilities and skill of a seasoned pro, and a fresh perspective and open mind. We’re excited to see what’s in store for him.
