We supported their very cool first release by "Jack Pattern" through our infamous Youtube channel and now comes in a few weeks the second one by Lipsky brother's Simple Symmetry . We do really like their unique fresh blend and premiered not so long ago their track Kalimba on "Cosmic Pint Glass". But to change a bit the game, here is the Marvin & Guy's Afterhour Mix, a long 10 mn epic cut you'd already wish to hear at 6am. in a summer beach festival on those "hands in the air" euphoric moments ! Following a debut EP on Golf Channel in 2015, Autarkic aka Nadav Spiegel has risen in status alongside his close friends and collaborators Red Axes and Moscoman. His recent debut LP for Disco Halal has garnered critical acclaim. Spiegel clearly has a rare talent as a songwriter, crafting the kind of intelligent, left-field pop music that one usually has to look back to the avant-garde of the 1980s to find.  If things were more downtempo, experimental and psych rock on his first EPs, these tracks for Turbo point squarely at the dance-floor, and have been staples in the sets of not only Moscoman and Red Axes, but in the other rising stars of the underground Israeli scene around labels like Malka Tuti and Fortuna records, as well as the global groove empire developing around Turbo A&R Thomas Von Party’s Multi Culti. It is one of Kusuma’s strong suits to produce tracks with a disco kit that go beyond the usual confines of the genre. Here’s a fine example of this. With latin percussion, arpeggios and several layers of melody, the robotic feel is still present but less so than on "Automatone". There's an element of darkness, as hinted by the track title, if they had discos in Tolkien’s universe, DJs would probably spin this.

Two years after the release of his acclaimed debut the “GONG 3000” EP on I’m a Cliché, Jakarta’s best kept secret is back on Cosmo Vitelli’s imprint with four terrific original tracks. Jonathan Kusuma is a producer who has managed in the space of a few releases and remixes to develop a signature sound which mostly relies on taking disco and EBM elements and putting them in new and unexpected contexts, offering us a glimpse of what modern dance music would sound like if house and techno had never existed.

Narcotic, hedonistic, abstract and particularly efficient on the dancefloor, Kusuma’s music is always about quality and never about quantity and so we are particularly thrilled to share with the world the four new tracks that constitute this EP.
