Jay West - So Right [DIKSO] 12" Preview (Lo Fi)

For the most part of the last decade, https://soundcloud.com/jaywestarg has been releasing House records. His versatile taste in House Music had brought his tracks to various labels like Off Recordings, Dikso, Large Music, Lost My Dog, Kolour and much more. Amongst his supporters are dj’s like Seth Troxler, Jimpster, Dimitri From Paris, Danny Howells, Oliver Koletzki, Noir, Todd Terje and Solomun. 

2012 was his most successful year so far with his radio hit ‘Smile’ remixed later by Mario Basanov and Sasse. It became an instant hit on Ibiza and was played at various radio stations. When joining forces with fella producer Manuel Sahagun this year, he quickly signed singles to Off Recordings, Electronique and Mother Recordings. 

He just had his first Europe tour and is coming back again around ADE. During our event on Sunday the 20th of October he will play alongside Mario Basanov, Ejeca, The Mekanism, Sean Brosnan and talents Prunk, PONY and Elias Mazian. Dedicating the A-side to the golden era of stateside electro, ‘Street Machine’ lifts samples from Break Machine’s East Coast anthem ‘Street Dance’, while ‘Moving On’ pays homage to the Californian soul of Ollie &amp; Jerry’s iconic ‘There’s No Stoppin Us’ from ‘84.

Chord Memory Band is a recent collaboration between Michael Medlycott (from the band Vulture Street Tape Gang) and Dom Bird (BONN co-founder and member of the live disco 4 piece Mitzi).

At the end of 2016, Michael and Dom caught wind of a cave, nestled beneath a sacred mountain, deep in the Australian outback. The rumours described a cave filled with nocturnal animals and ancient flora, but more importantly, a stash of vintage synthesizers and drum machines.

Guided by whispers and caught up in the mystic mystery of it all, the duo set off with a dusty four-track tape recorder in an attempt to capture these mythical cave vibes and place them on a record.

Michael and Dom surfaced several months later, with four recordings and no memory of what had occurred. These recordings became their synergistic ‘Third Eye’ EP – an analogue journey into the spiritual world, with one simple message, “the answer is inside”.

No strangers to FH - Washington heads @betterlistenrecords collide with steel city man @thatmanmonkz, producing an impeccable collective of beats to make up their latest four track EP: 'Feels trip to the district'. 

An acid-y start for A2 Thirstin’, which may sound unappealing if eating, but thatmanmonkz styles it well for this one. Through the hazy uncertainty of acidic fright, appears a notion of bliss, real light at the end of the tunnel shit. Such a creative dichotomy could be pretty unappetising, but the two halves to this fit together, jigsaw like.
