A meditative Piano & Cello piece composed by myself and my Wife for a documentary film about a medical condition called EDS. This was screened at Odeon cinema's across the UK & premiered in London.  

Meditation

An ambient piece composed for a documentary film about sexual exploitation for the charity Barnardos.  The piece combines lush, atmospheric string chords with a haunting piano melody and electronic sound effects and trance beats.  The work was premiered at a special gala event at the Wales Millennium Centre.

Hymn To The Brave

Written for a short documentary film for Barnardos/Seraf about trauma recovery. The piece was premiered in July 2016 at a special week long exhibition at Cardiff Bay Arts Centre.  The piece explores the stages and effects of trauma recovery and the emotions of someone going through this horrific ordeal.  Things will never be the same although there are helping hands guiding them back onto the right path.

A short piece of music to accompany a film for National Eating Disorder Week in February 2019. Written for Cardiff & Vale Health Board.

Through The Shadows

A promotional audio recording of a rehearsal for a concert at St. David's Hall, Cardiff.  The concert will be performed by trumpet soloist Simon Desbruslais accompanied on piano by Jakob Fichert and will feature World Premieres of two of Darren's works.
