It's been a min since we dropped a joint on our Freebie series so here it is - a late night club banger, courtesy of Paris-based DFNSE who also recently collaborated with our artist LA-NO on our 30K compilation. DFNSE belongs to the rising breed of french beatmakers that are taking in a huge variety of influences and re-moulding these influences in interesting hybrids.
'Krypton' slices up snippets of Skepta's 'That's Not Me', and layers them with heavy shifting kicks, snares and a wobbly bassline. It's the perfect way to kick-start that club set at 2am in the morning, where things get a little hazy. Grab this one rn.
