After playing an incredible number of shows for Defected throughout 2024, including flagship festivals Croatia and Malta and their NYE takeover of The Warehouse Project, Olive F was the first host Defected’s Radio Show in 2025. With a title that carries on Olive’s food-themed throughline, ‘Hot Sauce’ has been teased throughout many of her hard-hitting sets; sample-led loops and patterns featuring upbeat vocals and jazzy club rhythms create a euphoric and eclectic sound that is distinctly Olive F.

A prolific remixer, DJ and writer hailing from Sweden, Zoo Brazil has featured across the world’s most respected platforms, from DJing at clubs like Pacha Ibiza and London’s Ministry Of Sound to writing music for the BBC, MTV and more. A decade after his last Defected release, Zoo Brazil returns to the label family for ‘Cherry’ on DFTD, showcasing his signature house sound built for the decks and featuring a strikingly simple synth hook. Underpinning the record is his deep production expertise, one that has earned him GRAMMY and Brit nominations, and topped the Billboard Dance Chart. Love Attacks founder Alan Dixon joins UK house duo mOat and multi-instrumentalist Tom Diesel on DFTD with ‘Underground’. Coming in hot from his rework of Infinity Ink’s ‘Infinity’ on sister-label Glitterbox, nightlife authority Alan Dixon now collaborates with rising artists of the electronic scene. The UK pairing of producers Tom Staar and Chris Spero, mOat have found a home on Armin Van Buuren’s imprint Armada, recently releasing ‘Heat’ with Tensnake. Previously collaborating with Alan Dixon for ‘Infados’ on Love Attacks Records, mOat have also worked with the hybrid producer and live performer Tom Diesel for ‘Pizza Cat’. Now uniting as one on DFTD, the four electronic artists present ‘Underground’; pulsating synth patterns underpin bright piano accents, with Afro electronic-inspired percussion decorating this deep and brooding club track.

Iconic British production duo Groove Armada return to DFTD with a special, four-track remix package spotlighting leaders of the house scene. First up, Scottish tastemaker and international electronic creative Austin Ato lends his unique sound to the instantly recognisable GA classic ‘I See You Baby’; with early support from the likes of A-Trak, Gina Breeze and Melé, Austin’s immense take on the electronic favourite is sure to dominate the coming festival seasons and beyond. Next up, UK tastemakers Nautica flip 2007’s Love Sweet Sound featuring the iconic Candi Staton on vocals, morphing it into a deep, club-ready cut.
