Kalson // Stellar Mode | Dominance ELectricity

Behind this alias stands Vladan Cvetković a Serbian ambasador of Electro music. For two decades he is focused on production and promotion of Electro in the region and internationally. So far his discography counts dozen 12" records, singles and digital releases published by labels like Dominance Electricity, Street Sounds, Electro Avenue, Das Drehmoment. 
Through Electro Vladan also reaches the sounds of Ambient, Berlin School, Disco and Acid.
He is a co-founder of Stellar Mode, a project and a record label with a focus on Electro, Ambient and Sci-Fi music.
Vladan is one of the responsible people who enriched the club and festival scene in Serbia and his city (Niš) and region. He was involved in organization, management and as a DJ in numerous festivals in Serbia like Bekstvo u Prirodu, EXIT, Nisomnia etc. 
He shared his music selection on the decks with some of most important names in Electro scene like Anthony Rother, Egyptian Lover, UMEK, Sneak Thief, Dagobert, Dj Overdose, Bass Junkie, Diplomat, Luke Eargoggle.
Vladan also contributed to the Electro scene as a mixing and mastering engineer.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?
-As you know, together with Dagobert I'm managing label Stellar Mode and next several releases are in the works. We'll also have a spin off from Electro and release some of our authentic crossovers with other electronix. 

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?
-I think that artists of all decades are relevant, and there are so many great labels and artists to mention and it would be a long list. I mostly appreciate originality and innovation in music, from idea, composition, production to sonic values.  There is so much repetative music in every genre, sculptured through a reference rather than inspiration, and the fast pace of music publishing is forcing artists to spend less time working on their music which results in pattern based production and overloaded market, however I think that we live in times with the greatest possibilities to discover good/new music. When it comes to Electro, this mix is made of music which I really appreciate. I mostly enjoy Electro like this however it doesn't find the spot in the club and doing a podcast with title "Strange But Dance Music" was a perfect fit for these timeless tracks.

What inspires you now to create music?
-Life, science and drive to sonically express my self through sound synthesis, tones, noises and music.

Producer, DJ and founder of No Photo Policy label.
Influenced by distorted Electro, glitchy Breakbeat and raw Techno sounds.
Józef Flakus, also known as Somnolent Works, is a producer, DJ and music explorer based in Upper Silesia. He is passionate about noisy electro, breakbeat/jungle rhythms and 90s techno, often with robotic and strong elements. He loves to break conventions and explore new musical directions taken from different genres of music. The gritty and atmospheric landscape of factories, mines, and steelworks of his hometown region has had a significant impact on his music, particularly in its darker and more experimental elements. Somnolent Works sound often reflects the mechanical rhythms and metallic textures of the industrial world. He is a regular member of the CEL club in Katowice and a founder of the No Photo Policy label. He already released his tracks in labels like: Ovelha Trax, SKAN Records, POTOP, Your Character, Peace Tomorrow.

IE #07 Ilectrocast Evidence - SOMNOLENT WORKS

Daniel Hertz began deejaying as a hobby back in 2015 and got introduced to music production three years later through his cousin, co-founder of a local dub collective and soundsystem. In 2019, he made the decision to fully immerse himself into that world by entering a music production school in his hometown of Girona, Spain.

He would eventually find his way into the underground scene of Barcelona, frequently collaborating with the label Planetaria Music from 2022 onwards. In June 2024 he released his debut EP 'Nightly Devices' through Plan-G, a sub-label of Planetaria, featuring remixes by Shawn Cartier, Wiz Biz and Comarca.

So far, his productions have received support from the likes of Dave Clarke, Daria Kolosova, Merca Bae, FRANCK, Hermeth, False Persona and Dagga, as well as the many friends and acquaintances he's made along the way.

1. Which artists have influenced you the most? 
- It's difficult for me to answer that, because I've obsessed over a lot of artists over the years, but right off the bat I would say my cousin, Oriol, a key figure of Afrikan Warriors Soundsystem. Dub played a big part early on in my career and I always tend to gravitate towards that in one way or another, both in my DJ sets and productions.

2. What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 
- This year, a duo from my region of Catalonia called 'thelee' asked me to remix their single 'Jurassic Phunk' and it, alongside the remixes of a few other artists, will come out in the following months. They are very talented artists, and in their music you will find a heavy funk-driven influence, combined with acid, house, disco, reggae and many more styles. I have a lot of their songs on repeat!!

3. Which artists/labels are more relevant to you now?
- Some artists I've been listening to a lot recently are Rhythme, Maōh, Soul Mass Transit System, Raredub and Kush Jones. I've been playing their stuff on my sets frequently too. As for labels, I'd say Ritmo Astral, Hardline, Planet X and Mutual Rytm. Check out Ritmo Astral for some crazy good, oldschool Spanish electro, breakbeat and house :)
 
4. What inspires you now to create music? 
- At the time of writing, I am not really making a lot of music, but it's often either really intense flashes of inspiration or strong, recurring ideas that I just can't get out of my head and draw me to translate them into music.

5. What set-up do you use when creating music?
- I recently sold my TD3, which I never used by the way (cheap build, don't buy it) so I produce 99% in the box. In my studio I use Ableton Live 11, a couple of Adam Audio A4V monitors, a Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen and a Line Audio omnidirectional microphone. If you've read this far, you deserve to know this microphone brand has one of the craziest price-quality rates in the entire market, good stuff.

Par manque de temps, la G-prod s'évade au plus vite en créant des projets live.. Avec du recul et plus de temps pour la collaboration, ils proposent depuis fin 2011 une nébuleuse d'influences basé principalement entre la musique électronique et le dub.
