ANNA V. Returns to her own label, this time presenting an emotional record. 

Diversity is in her mindset and this EP could not escape the general rule. Combining elements from so many different styles, like Acid, Progressive, Trance, even cinematic soundscapes (a typical characteristic in her music), but built around a solid Techno groove, this EP brings out emotions and images. 

Producing in an entirely new, non-linear workflow, a pattern she developed during the years, Anna has achieved to create 2 incredible bangers filled with never before heard sounds and ingenious engineering through hardware synths and her own recordings.

From a technical aspect, the low end was manifested using a new compression method Anna developed, a one she calls "inverted limiting compression", allowing the bass harmonics to pump out while the edge and rumble become sturdy and solid, putting to test every single sound system. 

Dark Energy is a musical, acid like track created to lift large crowds up in the air with its relentless rhythm as well as it's sudden changes with clever breaks and elements like her own breathing in the main break. 

Anthem for a Lost Soul is pure sentiment. Moody and melancholic, was created in memory of one of her friend’s son, who left at a very young age. Gigantic pads and basses combine, where sentiment increases through the freestyle live performance of her in the synths while recording, slightly off quantising to give the track a “human touch”.

There was no better home for these originals, other than her own, so ANNA returns to her own label, this time talking to us, from her heart.

Following the internationally celebrated release of their debut album The Signs Within in 2017, burgeoning Japanese techno duo Drunken Kong look to kick off a brand new decade in emphatic fashion, with the release of their eagerly-anticipated sophomore long player, Where We Start.

Out now via Christian Smith's esteemed Tronic Music imprint, Where We Start marks the second full-length opus from the Tokyo-based outfit, whose impressive catalogue of unique techno productions have also been homed by the likes of Terminal M, Octopus Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and Session Womb to name a few.

Featuring a total of sixteen diverse cuts, including thirteen brand new Drunken Kong originals, two recent collaborations with Mainz-based outfit Teenage Mutants and one exclusive new collab with Tronic head honcho Christian Smith, Where We Start is Drunken Kong's most extensive body of work to date, and goes a long way in showcasing the inexhaustible creativity of one of the most prolific double acts in techno right now. 'Our new album, 'Where We Start' was built around an idea and inspiration that came from our new stage in life, which was parenting. Senso Sounds Level 08 introduces four new tracks by rising stars that hone in on that special vibe Senso has become synonymous with. First up is Mehmet Özbek, the DJ/Producer from Istanbul. 
Having garnered support from some of the biggest names in the scene, Özbek showcases why he’s held in such high regard - 'Milky Way' is a trippy, firing techno cut that combines subtlety and power in equal measures. 
Likewise, Eme Kulhnek provides a fierce track full of energy and precision. 
'Infinite' highlights why the Argentinian producer has been championed by the likes of Richie Hawtin - a stripped down sound that remains full of detail. 
SEQU3L’s 'Frisbee' is also a track bursting with ideas and passion - its infectious groove hits home from the outset and develops into a true techno roller. 
Hamburg’s own Mørk & Julien Riess complete the quartet of tracks, presenting 'Red Spade' as their contribution. It’s a tightly coiled, trippy techno cut that builds to fever pitch over the course of its
duration.

Hailing from Serres, Greece, young producers Bleur & MB1 have a fourteen year friendship behind them, and it’s obviously translated to a deep, easy chemistry in the studio. Following the inclusion of their belter single “Humans” on the last Second State SUM compilation, the duo now releases this stormy EP, pulling the listener into darker terrain. 

“Shock” does exactly that: jolts the listener into a hypnotic trance with a roof-raising combination of metallic, springy synths, a thwacking kick, and explosive FX. The mood is more restrained on “Belfast”, adding a layer of foreboding to the relatively spare opening passage, which eventually veers into trippy, spooky territory thanks to eerie pads and droney synth blurts. “NL Industry”, meanwhile, adds interest to grey low end with bleepy keys and engine revs that become gradually louder and sharper as the track progresses, culminating in a disorienting, thumping delirium. 

This EP cements their status as stars in the making. It’s an exciting sign of what’s to come from this dynamic duo.
