The collective expanded on their no-frills musical vision in our recent feature with them. Off key fondue parties and records "handstamped by virgins" aside, guiding the three is an underlying imperative to make decisions for the right reasons: their anonymity nothing more than a method that works well for them, something that relies on a sociality that the internet has effectively negated over the years. Now lot of people don’t like Mondays and we think thats fair enough; going back to work feeling a decade older after a heavy weekend spent making memories with friends can be a chore for even for the most optimistic of us as we trudge back in to the daily grind. Fear not this week though as our favorite type of Monday, Acid Mondays are on hand to help stave off those post weekend blues today with an exclusive mix for us here at DT.

Formed somewhere in the 5th dimension, Acid Mondays is the cosmic coalition of fellow psychonauts Negghead and Lex Wolf. Brought together by their love for fat beats, inter dimensional travel & cups of tea; they are on a never-ending journey exploring inner and outer space.

Expect altered states of hallucinogenic house and reality bending techno. It would be a cliché to say they have a great future, but they’ve been there and beyond and have returned to the NOW to do it all again. They recently put out a string of exciting releases on labels such as Warp, Rockets & Ponies, ONE Records, & Last Night On Earth. They were also asked to remix Lakker’s ‘Milch’ for the legendary R&S Records. That and their remixes of Mood 2 Swing on King Street received big support all summer from Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, The Martinez Bros, George Fitzgerald, & D’julz to name a few.

Benjamin Fröhlich has struck many chords in the arena of electronic music: as a party organizer and record shop owner in his early days, and now as a label owner, DJ and producer. He is the co-founder of Permanent Vacation Records together with Tom Bioly, which has been up and running since the tropical summer of 2006. Emerging from the vibrant Cosmic Disco and Balearic scene, Permanent Vacation has been going strong over the past decade with genre-defining hits, albums and compilations. Benjamin Fröhlich himself has emerged as a producer of vibrant tracks that are testament to his versatile and compelling approach to club music.

After sitting on this mix for over 3 years, we felt the time was right to release the recording from what was an incredible night out. Sadly it turned out to be Andrew's last visit. 

Andrew was a touchstone for many and a regular at Disco Deviant. This week would have been his 60th Birthday and we are marking the occasion with a couple of musical happenings.

With DGTL Records we build on our festival’s musical theme of an evocative cross section of the sounds and styles; showcasing forward thinking, cutting edge artists. Besides this, the label also functions as a platform for newcomers. This results in the creation of a coherent selection of music with a true family vibe; we want artists to feel connected to the label, the people behind it and to the other artists. 

Our in-house label DGTL Records emerged from the DGTL festival brand and has a single focus on music and community. It combines both upcoming talents together with established artists, bringing unique music and cross-over sounds that both add to the electronic music spectrum.
