Hearing and seeing DJ Phono play is something else. It’s makes for a totally unexpected experience for most people hearing Phono for the first time. Especially when they realize he’s part of the Diynamic label collective. Not that there’s something wrong with the label, but DJ Phono can easily be categorized as the maverick of the label’s artists. Steering away from the predictable, mixing classics with strange edits of newer tracks (yes, that's Nicki Minaj you're hearing in the podcast) and never failing to surprise. The ones of you that know SEKOIA know that that’s exactly what we look for when looking for Podcast-artists: Skill, musicality and the ability to surprise. 

Our expectations for this Podcast were high to say the least. They’ve been met 100%. We’re taking our hats off for mister Phono. With all the work he’s doing besides his DJ career (check our interview in DJ Mag if you’d like to know more) it’s a truly impressive feat delivering a podcast of this magnitude. Our second mix this week comes from the German Marcus Worgull. In a short timespan Marcus has risen through the DJ ranks, not only in his home country, but internationally as well. On December 7th he will be rocking the house at Time Warp, one of the biggest events in Holland outside the festival season. 

With a crossover line up of house and techno, sporting a wash list of amazing names like Loco Dice, Art Department, Oliver Koletzki, Andhim, Subb-An, Pan-Pot, Mano Le Tough, Nick Curly and our own residents duo PONY - this isn’t even half of the line up..
