The opening verse pays homage to my roots out East with a nod at the new jack era, fading way to a B section heavy with 808s and that downtempo vibe that closes this dynamic single off of “What Words Won’t Describe,” my first solo album as a vocalist (Due early Fall)

The Hinata Hyottoko Odori (official name: Nagata no Hyottoko Odori) is said to have been invented by Dr. Kimiyuki Tachibana, an ophthalmologist practicing in the Nagata area of Shiomi, Hyuga City during the Meiji era.
It is now known that the origin of this dance is modeled on the "mokidoki" that appears in sato-kagura, but the details are still unknown.
In the past, it was danced on the first horse day of the year, but today it is performed on various occasions as a dance to celebrate a good harvest and to wish for prosperous business. Nagata's Hyottoko Odori is a representative dance of Hyuga City and is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of the city.

This Bon Odori dance has been continued to this day as an event for the repose and repose of unrelated Buddhist deities.

The monotonous rhythm of the taiko drums and the dance songs played under the lanterns on the oars, as well as the repetitive back and forth of the dance, evoke a sense of melancholy and impermanence.

The Bon Odori of Tsukudokudai (designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government) is a valuable folk performing art that preserves the vestiges of the Edo period.
