Maxim started this one, After laying down the foundation he read his poem on top. Doug added vocals and other things afterwards with attention paid to what can be reproduced in a live setting.

Song Two

Dharma Bros. is on a mission to nurture, nourish and provoke the flame within. Through experimental yet accessible dance music, awakened poetry, community building and alternative lifestyles, Doug Koyama and Max Cossette exist to aide themselves and others to uncover the natural state of brilliance innate in all beings. The flame is felt at music festivals, protest camps, in art class and in societies on the brink of upheaval. Whenever choices are stark and the gaze turns within, it’s time to draw upon one’s deepest truth, turn the knob to “High” and burn bright. Doug Koyama is a improvisation vocal looper who left his previous life in 2011 to follow his dreams of becoming a traveling musician. His familiar stickers “Doug Rhymes with Hug” now dot western Canada. He’s been equally embraced: Doug performed at 8 BC music festivals in 2016 and looks to increase that amount in 2017. Maxim “Banjoman” Cossette has performed for, and written songs about, the BC downhill skateboard community for 6 years. He’s recently taken steps to connect with the broader BC music community. Dharma Bros. is happy to perform for audiences of all ages. Energizing and interactive performances challenge audiences to moved beyond traditional means of consuming of music and culture; expects nothing less but full audience participating as physical movement, vocalizations and introspection in order to move beyond comfort levels and step into greater power.

The Dharma Bros, are a festival emceeing duo, currently based on a ranch an hour drive outside of Williams Lake, BC, who specialize in writing and performing jingles as introductions to music festival acts. Inspired by the magic that brews at festivals across BC, Doug and Max are on a mission to contribute everything they can to the eclectic community that has embraced them. Their mission is to bring a new kind of emceeing where in addition to the regular emcee duties (talking about the sponsors and the recycling), write and improvise jingles as a novel way to introduce the festival acts they love.
