The Latin alphabet for Kiswahili has 24 letters, which include 19 consonants and 5 vowels. The letters Q and X do not appear in the alphabet. The letter “C” appears only in the combination “CH” to represent its sound. There are 9 other special consonant groups made from combinations of other letters
