ਆਪੇ ਰਸੀਆ ਆਪਿ ਰਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਰਾਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰਸ-ਭਰਿਆ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਵਿਚ) ਰਸ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਸਵਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ 
He Himself is the Enjoyer, and He Himself is the Enjoyment. He Himself is the Ravisher of all.

ਆਪੇ ਹੋਵੈ ਚੋਲੜਾ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਜ ਭਤਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੇਜ, ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਮਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ) ਖਸਮ ਹੈ ।੧।
He Himself is the Bride in her dress, He Himself is the Bridegroom on the bed. ||1||

ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਹੋੇਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਚ) ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
My Lord and Master is imbued with love; He is totally permeating and pervading all. ||1||Pause||

ਆਪੇ ਮਾਛੀ ਮਛੁਲੀ ਆਪੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਜਾਲੁ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਫੜਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੱਛੀ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਮੱਛੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਲ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਮੱਛੀ ਫੜੀਦੀ ਹੈ) 
He Himself is the fisherman and the fish; He Himself is the water and the net.

ਆਪੇ ਜਾਲ ਮਣਕੜਾ ਆਪੇ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਲਾਲੁ ॥੨॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਜਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਣਕੇ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਸ ਦੀ ਬੋਟੀ ਹੈ (ਜੋ ਮੱਛੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਲ ਵੱਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਦੀ ਹੈ) ।੨।
He Himself is the sinker, and He Himself is the bait. ||2||

ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਰੰਗੁਲਾ ਸਖੀਏ ਮੇਰਾ ਲਾਲੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ ! ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਈ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੋਜ ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ 
He Himself loves in so many ways. O sister soul-brides, He is my Beloved.

ਨਿਤ ਰਵੈ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਦੇਖੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਹਾਲੁ ॥੩॥
ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਖਸਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹਾਲ ਵੇਖ (ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ) ।੩।
He continually ravishes and enjoys the happy soul-brides; just look at the plight I am in without Him! ||3||

ਪ੍ਰਣਵੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਤੂ ਸਰਵਰੁ ਤੂ ਹੰਸੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ! ਨਾਨਕ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਦੇਹ) ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੰਸ ਹੈਂ 
Prays Nanak, please hear my prayer: You are the pool, and You are the soul-swan.

ਕਉਲੁ ਤੂ ਹੈ ਕਵੀਆ ਤੂ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਵੇਖਿ ਵਿਗਸੁ ॥੪॥੨੫॥
ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿਚ ਖਿੜਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੌਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਚੰਦ ਦੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਵਿਚ ਖਿੜਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੰਮੀ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਜਮਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਲਾਲ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ।੪।੨੫।
You are the lotus flower of the day and You are the water-lily of the night. You Yourself behold them, and blossom forth in bliss. ||4||25||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਹਮ ਘਰਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਆਏ ॥
My friends have come into my home.

ਸਾਚੈ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
The True Lord has united me with them.

ਸਹਜਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਏ ਪੰਚ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
The Lord automatically united me with them when it pleased Him; uniting with the chosen ones, I have found peace.

ਸਾਈ ਵਸਤੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਈ ਜਿਸੁ ਸੇਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
I have obtained that thing, which my mind desired.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਮੇਲੁ ਭਇਆ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਘਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਸੋਹਾਏ ॥
Meeting with them, night and day, my mind is pleased; my home and mansion are beautified.

ਪੰਚ ਸਬਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਅਨਹਦ ਵਾਜੇ ਹਮ ਘਰਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਆਏ ॥੧॥
The unstruck sound current of the Panch Shabad, the Five Primal Sounds, vibrates and resounds; my friends have come into my home. ||1||

ਆਵਹੁ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ ਮੰਗਲ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਨਾਰੇ ॥
So come, my beloved friends, and sing the songs of joy, O sisters.

ਸਚੁ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਹੁ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ॥
Sing the true songs of joy and God will be pleased. You shall be celebrated throughout the four ages.

ਅਪਨੈ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ਥਾਨਿ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
My Husband Lord has come into my home, and my place is adorned and decorated. Through the Shabad, my affairs have been resolved.

ਗਿਆਨ ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਨੇਤ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਜਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਰੂਪੁ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥
Applying the ointment, the supreme essence, of divine wisdom to my eyes, I see the Lord's form throughout the three worlds.

ਸਖੀ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਰਸਿ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਹਮ ਘਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਆਇਆ ॥੨॥
So join with me, my sisters, and sing the songs of joy and delight; my friends have come into my home. ||2||

ਆਵਹੁ ਸਜਣਾ ਹਉ ਦੇਖਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
Come, my friend, so that I may behold the blessed Vision of Your Darshan.

ਘਰਿ ਆਪਨੜੈ ਖੜੀ ਤਕਾ ਮੈ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ਘਨੇਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
I stand in my doorway, watching for You; my mind is filled with such a great yearning.

My mind has become joyful, hearing of God's coming.

Sing the songs of joy to welcome the Lord, O my companions; my household has become the Lord's Mansion.

ਪਉੜੀ ੬ : ਹਰੀਚੰਦ ਤੇ ਤਾਰਾ ਰਾਣੀ
Harischandar and queen Taramati    

ਸੁਖੁ ਰਾਜੇ ਹਰੀਚੰਦ ਘਰਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੁ ਤਾਰਾ ਲੋਚਨ ਰਾਣੀ।
King HariChand had a queen with beautiful eyes, Tara, who had made his home the abode of comforts.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਗਾਵਦੇ ਰਾਤੀ ਜਾਇ ਸੁਣੈ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ।
At night she would go to the place where in the form of holy congregation, would recite the holy hymns.

ਪਿਛੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਾਗਿਆ ਅਧੀ ਰਾਤਿ ਨਿਖੰਡਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ।
After she had left, the King awoke in the middle of the night and realised she had gone.

ਰਾਣੀ ਦਿਸਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਮਨ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਰਤਿ ਗਈ ਹੈਰਾਣੀ।
He could not find the Queen anywhere and his heart filled with astonishment

ਹੋਰਤੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਉਠਿ ਕੈ ਚਲਿਆ ਪਿਛੈ ਤਰਲ ਜੁਆਣੀ।
The following night he followed the young queen.

ਰਾਣੀ ਪਹੁਤੀ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਖੜੀ ਖੜਾਉ ਨੀਸਾਣੀ।
The queen reached the holy congregation and the King lifted one of her sandals from there (so that he could prove the infidelity of the queen).

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਜੋੜੀ ਜੁੜੀ ਖੜਾਉ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ।
When about to go, the queen concentrated upon the holy congregation and the one sandal became a pair.

ਰਾਜੇ ਡਿਠਾ ਚਲਿਤੁ ਇਹੁ ਏਹ ਖੜਾਵ ਹੈ ਚੋਜ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ।
The king upheld this feat and realized that there her matching sandal was a miracle.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੬॥
I am sacrifice unto the holy congregation.

ਕਾਮਣਿ ਤਉ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੰਤੁ ਮਨਾਇ ॥
ਹੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ! ਤਦੋਂ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਖਸਮ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰ ਲਏਂ, (ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ) 
O bride, decorate yourself, after you surrender and accept your Husband Lord.

ਮਤੁ ਸੇਜੈ ਕੰਤੁ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਏਵੈ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਇ ॥
ਮਤਾਂ ਖਸਮ ਸੇਜ ਤੇ ਆਵੇ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਤੇ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਐਵੇਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੀ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਏ ।
Otherwise, your Husband Lord will not come to your bed, and your ornaments will be useless.

ਕਾਮਣਿ ਪਿਰ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਤਉ ਬਣਿਆ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ! ਜੇ ਖਸਮ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਮੰਨ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਸਮਝ,
O bride, your decorations will adorn you, only when your Husband Lord's Mind is pleased.

ਕੀਆ ਤਉ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਜਾ ਸਹੁ ਧਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਬੂਲ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਖਸਮ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੇ ।
Your ornaments will be acceptable and approved, only when your Husband Lord loves you.

ਭਉ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਤਬੋਲ ਰਸੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਭਾਉ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਡਰ (ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ) ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਨ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਬਣਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਧਾਰ) ਬਣਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
So make the Fear of God your ornaments, joy your betel nuts to chew, and love your food.

ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਉਪੇ ਕੰਤ ਕਉ ਤਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੋਗੁ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੧॥
ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਮਨ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਦੀ ਹੈ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
Surrender your body and mind to your Husband Lord, and then, O Nanak, He will enjoy you. ||1||

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਪਏ,
The happy soul bride has found the wealth of the Lord; her consciousness does not waver.

ਸੰਤ ਸੰਜੋਗੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੀਤ ॥੧॥
ਜਿਸ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਤ (ਕਦੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ) ਡੋਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ।੧।
Joining together with the Saints, O Nanak, God, my Friend, has revealed Himself in my home. ||1||

ਨਾਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਅਨੰਦ ਕੋਡ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਨੇ ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਮਨ-ਮੰਗੀਆਂ ਮੁਰਾਦਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, 
With her Beloved Husband Lord, she enjoys millions of melodies, pleasures and joys.

ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਭਨੇ ॥੨॥
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ) ਰਾਗਾਂ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ (ਮਾਣ ਲਈਦੇ ਹਨ) ।੨।
The fruits of the mind's desires are obtained, O Nanak, chanting the Lord's Name. ||2||

O mother, I have gathered the wealth of the Lord's Name.

ਮਨੁ ਮੇਰੋ ਧਾਵਨ ਤੇ ਛੂਟਿਓ ਕਰਿ ਬੈਠੋ ਬਿਸਰਾਮੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
My mind has stopped its wanderings, and now, it has come to rest. ||1||Pause||

ਮਾਇਆ ਮਮਤਾ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਭਾਗੀ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥
Attachment to Maya has run away from my body, and immaculate spiritual wisdom has welled up within me.

ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਏਹ ਪਰਸਿ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਗਹੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੧॥
(ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ) ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਹੈ ਲੋਭ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਹ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ ।੧।
Greed and attachment cannot even touch me; I have grasped hold of devotional worship of the Lord. ||1||

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੰਸਾ ਚੂਕਾ ਰਤਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਬ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
The cynicism of countless lifetimes has been eradicated, since I obtained the jewel of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਸਕਲ ਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਜ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
My mind was rid of all its desires, and I was absorbed in the peace of my own inner being. ||2||

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਹੋਤ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਸੋ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
That person, unto whom the Merciful Lord shows compassion, sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੀ ਸੰਪੈ ਕੋਊ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩॥੩॥
Says Nanak, this wealth is gathered only by the Gurmukh. ||3||3||

ਸਮਰਥ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਿਰਿ ਹਥੁ ਧਰ੍ਯਉ ॥
ਸਮਰੱਥ ਗੁਰੂ (ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ) ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ । 
The All-powerful Guru placed His hand upon my head.

ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਅਉ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਚਰੰਨ ਅਘੰਨ ਹਰ੍ਯਉ ॥
 ਜਿਸ (ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, 
The Guru was kind, and blessed me with the Lord's Name. Gazing upon His Feet, my sins were dispelled.

ਨਿਸਿ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਏਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਸੁ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਨੇ ਸੁਤੁ ਭਾਨ ਡਰ੍ਯਉ ॥
ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ; (ਉਸ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦਾ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਇੱਕ-ਰਸ ਧਿਆਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਸੁਣਨ ਨਾਲ ਜਮ-ਰਾਜ (ਭੀ) ਡਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ) ।
Night and day, the Guru meditates on the One Lord; hearing His Name, the Messenger of Death is scared away.

ਭਨਿ ਦਾਸ ਸੁ ਆਸ ਜਗਤ੍ਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਪਾਰਸੁ ਭੇਟਿ ਪਰਸੁ ਕਰ੍ਯਉ ॥
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਲ੍ਯ ਕਵੀ? ਆਖ—“ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਵਲ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਆਸ ਹੈ, ਪਾਰਸ (ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਭੀ ਪਰਸਨ-ਜੋਗ (ਪਾਰਸ ਹੀ) ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ । 
So speaks the Lord's slave: Guru Raam Daas placed His Faith in Guru Amar Daas, the Guru of the World; touching the Philosopher's Stone, He was transformed into the Philosopher's Stone.

ਰਾਮਦਾਸੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿ ਕੀਯਉ ਸਮਰਥ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਿਰਿ ਹਥੁ ਧਰ੍ਯਉ ॥੭॥੧੧॥
ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਟੱਲ ਕਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਸਮਰੱਥ ਗੁਰੂ (ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਨੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ” ।੭।੧੧।
Guru Raam Daas recognized the Lord as True; the All-powerful Guru placed His hand upon His head. ||7||11||

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਗਲੀਏ ਚਿਕੜੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਘਰੁ ਨਾਲਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੇਹੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਫਰੀਦ! (ਵਰਖਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ) ਗਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਕੜ ਹੈ, (ਇਥੋਂ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦਾ) ਘਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੈ (ਪਰ) ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨਾਲ (ਮੇਰਾ) ਪਿਆਰ (ਬਹੁਤ) ਹੈ ।
Fareed, the path is muddy, and the house of my Beloved is so far away.

ਚਲਾ ਤ ਭਿਜੈ ਕੰਬਲੀ ਰਹਾਂ ਤ ਤੁਟੈ ਨੇਹੁ ॥੨੪॥
 ਜੇ ਮੈਂ (ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ) ਜਾਵਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਕੰਬਲੀ ਭਿੱਜਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੇ (ਵਰਖਾ ਤੇ ਚਿੱਕੜ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ) ਨਾਹ ਜਾਵਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਟੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨੪।
If I go out, my blanket will get soaked, but if I remain at home, then my heart will be broken. ||24||

My doubts have been dispelled, and I have found intuitive peace and tranquility through my Lord and Master. I have been enlightened, and my heart-lotus has blossomed forth.

ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਖੋਯਾ ਹੈ, ਅਪਨੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕੋ ਪਾਇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਹਜੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਂਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਭਈ ਹੈ, ਜਬ ਗਿਆਨ ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਹੂਆ, ਤਬ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਿਦਾ ਕੌਲ ਖਿੜਿਆ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ॥

I have obtained God, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, as my Husband; O Nanak, my marriage shall last forever. ||4||4||2||5||11||
