ਧਨਿ ਧੰਨਿ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ਪਿਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥
Blessed, blessed is my destiny; my Husband Lord has come into my home.

ਸੋਹੇ ਬੰਕ ਦੁਆਰ ਸਗਲਾ ਬਨੁ ਹਰਾ ॥
The gate of my mansion is so beautiful, and all my gardens are so green and alive.

ਸੋਹੇ ਬੰਕ ਦੁਆਰ ਸਗਲਾ ਬਨੁ ਹਰਾ ॥
The gate of my mansion is so beautiful, and all my gardens are so green and alive.

ਹਰ ਹਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁਖਹ ਗਾਮੀ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਰਸੁ ਘਣਾ ॥ 
My peace-giving Lord and Master has rejuvenated me, and blessed me with great joy, bliss and love.

ਨਵਲ ਨਵਤਨ ਨਾਹੁ ਬਾਲਾ ਕਵਨ ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਨ ਭਣਾ ॥
My Young Husband Lord is eternally young, and His body is forever youthful; what tongue can I use to chant His Glorious Praises?

ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਜ ਸੋਹੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਮੋਹੀ ਸਗਲ ਸਹਸਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਹਰਾ ॥
My bed is beautiful; gazing upon Him, I am fascinated, and all my doubts and pains are dispelled.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਪਰੰਪਰਾ ॥੫॥੧॥੩॥
Prays Nanak, my hopes are fulfilled; my Lord and Master is unlimited. ||5||1||3||

ਸੁਪਨ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਾਨਕ ਬਨੇ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਵਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਆਜ ਮੋਰੇ ਆਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
Himself holy and capable of making other pious-the friendly True Guru has come into my dream beautifully attired and adored. It is indeed a wonderful marvel for me.

ਪਰਮ ਦਯਾਲ ਲਾਲ ਲੋਚਨ ਬਿਸਾਲ  ਮੁਖ ਬਚਨ ਰਸਾਲ ਮਧੁ ਮਧੁਰ ਪੀਆਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
Beloved Lord is sweet of words, big eyed and clement of form. Believe me! It is like He blessing us with honeyed elixir.

ਸੋਭਤ ਸਿਹਜਾਸਨ ਬਿਲਾਸਨ ਦੈ ਅੰਕਮਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਬਿਸਮ ਹੈ੍ਵ ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
He looked pleased and honoured me by occupying my bedlike heart. I was lost in the love filled trance of Nam Amrit that merged me into a state of equipoise.

ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਸਬਦ ਸੁਨਿ ਅਖੀਆਂ ਉਘਰ ਗਈ ਭਈ ਜਲ ਮੀਨ ਗਤਿ ਬਿਰਹ ਜਗਾਏ ਹੈਂ ॥੨੦੫॥
Enjoying the bliss of divine dream, I was woken up by the voice of rain-bird and that broke my celestial dream. The awe and marvel of love-filled state disappeared reawakening the pangs of separation. I was restless like a fish out of water. (205)

ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮ ਧੰਨ ਆਜ ਕੋ ਦਿਵਸ ਰੈਨਿ  ਪਹਰ ਮਹੂਰਤ ਘਰੀ ਔ ਪਲ ਪਾਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
My birth has become successful and fruitful today. This auspicious day, night, watch, moments that have provided me with moments of union with my Lord are worthy of admiration and salutation.

ਸਫਲ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਚਾਰੁ ਸਿਹਜਾ ਸੰਜੋਗ ਭੋਗ  ਆਂਗਨ ਮੰਦਰ ਅਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੁਹਾਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
All my embellishments of Naam Simran are fruitful today, now that I am about to enjoy the spiritual bliss of union with my Lord on the bed-like heart. My heart-like courtyard and temple-like body are also becoming decorated. 

ਜਗਮਗ ਜੋਤਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਛਬਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਬਢਾਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
The seas of comfort and bliss are leaping in my stable spiritual state as a result of union with my Lord on the bed of my heart. It is effulgent with divine light. It has blessed me with praise and glory, grandeur and splendour and a beautiful image.

ਅਰਥ ਧਰਮ ਕਾਮ ਮੋਖ ਨਿਹਕਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਰਸਿਕ ਹੈ੍ਵ ਲਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਏ ਹੈਂ ॥੬੫੨॥
Lord's name that makes dharam, arth, kaam and mokh as no more desirable elements of pursuits; the meditation of that Naam has enamored my beloved Lord in the hue of my love who has now come and taken the seat on my bed-like heart.  (652)

ੳਹ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਹੂਇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਅਵਤਾਰਾ॥
uh gur gobi(n)dh hooi pragaTiaa dhasave(n) avataaraa||
Guru Gobind Singh manifested as the tenth incarnation.

ਜਿਨ ਅਲਖ ਅਕਾਲ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਾ ਜਪਿਓ ਕਰਤਾਰਾ॥
jin alakh akaal nira(n)janaa japio karataaraa||
He inspired the meditation upon the imperceptible, timeless and flawless Creator.

ਨਿਜ ਪੰਥ ਚਲਾਇਓ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਧਰਿ ਤੇਜ ਕਰਾਰਾ॥
nij pa(n)th chalaio khaalasaa dhar tej karaaraa||
And initiated the Khalsa Panth, the Religious Path of Righteousness, and bequeathed scintillating splendour.

ਸਿਰ ਕੇਸ ਧਾਰਿ ਗਹਿ ਖੜਗ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਦੁਸਟ ਪਛਾਰਾ॥
sir kes dhaar geh khaRag ko sabh dhusaT pachhaaraa||
Head high with full tresses, and the sword in hand, (the Panth) eliminated the adversaries,

ਸੀਲ ਜਤ ਕੀ ਕਛ ਪਹਿਰਿ ਪਕੜਿਓ ਹਥਿਆਰਾ॥
seel jat kee kachh pahir pakaRio hathiaaraa||
Wearing the breaches, the symbol of chastity, raised the arms,

ਸਚ ਫਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਜੀਤਿਓ ਰਣ ਭਾਰਾ॥
sach fate bulaiee guroo kee jeetio ran bhaaraa||
Roaring the war-cries of Victory to the Guru, prevailed in the immense battlefields,

ਸਭ ਦੈਤ ਅਰਿਨਿ ਕੋ ਘੇਰ ਕਰਿ ਕੀਓ ਪਰਿਹਾਰਾ॥
sabh dhait arin ko gher kar keeo parihaaraa||

ਜਬ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਓ ਜਗਤ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੁ ਜਾਪ ਅਪਾਰਾ॥
jab sahije pragaTio jagat mai(n) gur jaap apaaraa||
And then docilely manifested the appraisal of great Guru in the world.

ਯੌਂ ਉਪਜੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁਜੰਗੀਏ ਨੀਲ ਅੰਬਰ ਧਾਰਾ॥
yaua(n) aupaje si(n)gh bhuja(n)ge'ee neel a(n)bar dhaaraa||
Thus came forth the young Gursikhs, adorned in blue (robes).

ਤੁਰਕ ਦੁਸਟ ਸਭ ਛੈ ਕੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਾ॥
turak dhusaT sabh chhai ke'ee har naam auchaaraa||
Who eliminated all the Turk (ruling Muslim) enemies and promoted the God's Name.

ਤਿਨ ਆਗੈ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਠਹਿਰਿਓ ਭਾਗੇ ਸਿਰਦਾਰਾ॥
tin aagai koi na ttahirio bhaage siradhaaraa||
None dared to face them, and all the chieftains took to their heels.

ਜਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਮੀਰੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਭ ਛਾਰਾ॥
jeh raaje shaeh ameeraRe hoe sabh chhaaraa||
The kings, sovereigns and emirates, all of them were decimated.

ਫਿਰ ਸੁਨ ਕਰਿ ਐਸੀ ਧਮਕ ਕੋ ਕਾਂਪੈ ਗਿਰਿ ਭਾਰਾ॥
fir sun kar aaisee dhamak ko kaa(n)pai gir bhaaraa||

ਤਬ ਸਭ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਲਚਲ ਭਈ ਛਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਬਾਰਾ॥
tab sabh dharatee halachal bhiee chhaadde ghar baaraa||
The upheaval ruffled the earth and people forsook their domiciles.

ਇਉਂ ਐਸੇ ਦੁੰਦ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਮੈਂ ਖਪਿਓ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ॥
eiau(n) aaise dhu(n)dh kalesh mai(n) khapio sa(n)saaraa||
In such a conflict and distress, the world was absorbed.

ਤਹਿ ਬਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੋ ਹੈ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੈ ਕਾਟਨ ਹਾਰਾ॥
teh bin satigur ko hai nahee(n) bhai kaaTan haaraa||

ਗਹਿ ਐਸੇ ਖੜਗ ਦਿਖਾਇਅਨ ਕੋ ਸਕੈ ਨ ਝੇਲਾ॥
geh aaise khaRag dhikhaian ko sakai na jhelaa||
He (the True Guru), beholding the sword, displayed the feats bearable to none.

ਵਾਹ ਵਾਹ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਚੇਲਾ ॥੧੫॥
vaeh vaeh gobi(n)dh si(n)gh aape gur chelaa ||15||
Hail, hail (Guru) Gobind Singh; He, Himself, is the Master and the Disciple too.

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਪਾਤਸਾਹੀ ੧੦ ॥

RAMKALI OF THE TENTH KING

ਰੇ ਮਨ ਐਸੋ ਕਰ ਸੰਨਿਆਸਾ ॥
re man aaiso kar sa(n)niaasaa ||
ਹੇ ਮਨ! (ਤੂੰ) ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ।
O mind! the asceticism be practised in this way :

ਬਨ ਸੇ ਸਦਨ ਸਬੈ ਕਰ ਸਮਝਹੁ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਉਦਾਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ban se sadhan sabai kar samajhahu man hee maeh audhaasaa ||1|| rahaau ||
ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਸਮਝੋ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਸਦਾ) ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ।
Consider your house as the forest and remain unattached within yourself…..Pause.

ਜਤ ਕੀ ਜਟਾ ਜੋਗ ਕੋ ਮੰਜਨੁ ਨੇਮ ਕੇ ਨਖਨ ਬਢਾਓ ॥
jat kee jaTaa jog ko majan nem ke nakhun baddaao ||
ਜਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਟਾਵਾ, ਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਨੌਂਹ ਵਧਾ ਲਵੋ।
Consider continence as the matted hair, Yoga as the ablution and daily observances as your nails,

ਗਿਆਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਤਮ ਉਪਦੇਸਹੁ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਲਗਾਓ ॥੧॥
giaan guroo aatam aupadhesahu naam bibhoot lagaao ||1||
ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ (ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਦੀ ਬਿਭੂਤ (ਸੁਆਹ) ਲਗਾਓ ॥੧॥
Consider the knowledge as the preceptor giving lessons to you and apply the Name of the Lord as ashes.1.

ਅਲਪ ਅਹਾਰ ਸੁਲਪ ਸੀ ਨਿੰਦ੍ਰਾ ਦਯਾ ਛਿਮਾ ਤਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
alap ahaar sulap see ni(n)dhraa dhayaa chhimaa tan preet ||
ਥੋੜਾ ਆਹਾਰ, ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਨੀਂਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਖਿਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਰੋ।
Eat less and sleep less, cherish mercy and forgiveness

ਸੀਲ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਬਾਹਿਬੋ ਹ੍ਵੈਬੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਗੁਣ ਅਤੀਤ ॥੨॥
seel sa(n)tokh sadhaa nirabaahibo havaibo tiragun ateet ||2||
ਸ਼ੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲਿਪਤ ਰਹਿ ॥੨॥
Practise gentleness and contentment and remain free from three modes.2.

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਲੋਭ ਹਠ ਮੋਹ ਨ ਮਨ ਸਿਉ ਲ੍ਯਾਵੈ ॥
kaam krodh ha(n)kaar lobh hatt moh na man siau layaavai ||
ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਹੰਕਾਰ, ਲੋਭ, ਹਠ, ਮੋਹ, ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਲਿਆ।
Keep your mind unattached from lust, anger, greed, insistence and infatuation,

ਤਬ ਹੀ ਆਤਮ ਤਤ ਕੋ ਦਰਸੇ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਹ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩॥੧॥
tab hee aatam tat ko dharase param purakh keh paavai ||3||1||
ਤਦ ਹੀ ਆਤਮ ਤੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਸਕੇਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਾਂਗਾ ॥੩॥੧॥
Then you will visualize the supreme essence and realise the supreme Purusha.3.1.

Now begins the description of the Meeting with the Mother :

ਸੁਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਆਏ ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ ਅਯੁਧਿਆ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ) ਸੁਣਿਆ

ਸਭੈ ਲੋਗ ਧਾਏ ॥
ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਆਏ ਹਨ,
When the people heard that Ram had returned, then all the people ran and fell at his feet

ਲਗੇ ਆਨ ਪਾਯੰ ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ (ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਭਜ ਪਏ,

ਮਿਲੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਯੰ ॥੬੬੯॥
ਆ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਰਹਾ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪਏ। ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਵੀ (ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲੇ ॥੬੬੯॥
Ram met all of them.669.

ਕੋਊ ਚਉਰ ਢਾਰੈਂ ॥
(ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ) ਕੋਈ ਚੌਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,

ਕੋਊ ਪਾਨ ਖੁਆਰੈਂ ॥
ਕੋਈ ਪਾਨ ਖੁਆਉਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Someone swung she fly-whisk, someone offered the betel

ਪਰੇ ਮਾਤ ਪਾਯੰ ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗੇ।

ਲਏ ਕੰਠ ਲਾਯੰ ॥੬੭੦॥
(ਮਾਤਾ ਨੇ) ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ ॥੬੭੦॥
Ram fell at the feet of his mother and his mothers hugged him to their bosom.670.

ਮਿਲੈ ਕੰਠ ਰੋਵੈਂ ॥
ਗਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਦੋਵੇਾਂ (ਮਾਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਰੋਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਮਨੋ ਸੋਕ ਧੋਵੈਂ ॥
ਮਾਨੋ (ਮਨ ਦਾ) ਸ਼ੋਕ ਧੋ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
On being hugged he was weeping in order to wash away all his suffering

ਕਰੈਂ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਤੈਂ ॥
ਫਿਰ ਯੁੱਧ-ਵੀਰ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ) ਗੱਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ,

ਸੁਨੇ ਸਰਬ ਮਾਤੈਂ ॥੬੭੧॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਰਹਾ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਤਾ ਸੁਣਨ ਲਗੀ ॥੬੭੧॥
The brave Ram began to talk and all the mothers listened.671.

ਮਿਲੈ ਲੱਛ ਮਾਤੰ ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਲੱਛਮਣ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ।

ਪਰੇ ਪਾਇ ਭ੍ਰਾਤੰ ॥
(ਦੋਵੇਾਂ) ਭਰਾ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਗਏ।

ਕਰਿਯੋ ਦਾਨ ਏਤੋ ॥
(ਸੁਮਿਤ੍ਰਾ) ਨੇ ਇਤਨਾ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ

ਗਨੈ ਕਉਨ ਕੇਤੋ ॥੬੭੨॥
ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਗਿਣੇ ਕਿ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਕੁ ਸੀ? ॥੬੭੨॥
Then he met the mother of Lakshman and the brother Bharat and Shatrughan touched his feet. On account of the joy of union, unaccountable charity was given.672.

ਮਿਲੇ ਭਰਥ ਮਾਤੰ ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਭਰਤ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ (ਕੈਕਈ) ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ

ਕਹੀ ਸਰਬ ਬਾਤੰ ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਦਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ (ਕਿਹਾ)
Then Ram met the mother of Bharat and told her all that happened with him

ਧਨੰ ਮਾਤ ਤੋ ਕੋ ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ! ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਹੈ

ਅਰਿਣੀ ਕੀਨ ਮੋ ਕੋ ॥੬੭੩॥
ਕਿ (ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ) ਰਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੭੩॥
Ram said, “O mother, I am thankful to you because you have made me free from indebtedness.673.

ਕਹਾ ਦੋਸ ਤੇਰੈ ॥
(ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ) ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ।

ਲਿਖੀ ਲੇਖ ਮੇਰੈ ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ (ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ) ਲਿਖੀ ਸੀ।

ਹੁਨੀ ਹੋ ਸੁ ਹੋਈ ॥
ਜੋ ਹੋਣੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

ਕਹੈ ਕਉਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੬੭੪॥
(ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ) ਕੋਈ ਕੀ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੭੪॥
“You are not to be blamed for this, because it was recorded in my destiny, whatever happens, has to happen, none can describe it.”674.

ਕਰੋ ਬੋਧ ਮਾਤੰ ॥
(ਕੈਕਈ) ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਰਹਾ ਦਾ) ਗਿਆਨ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੇ

ਮਿਲਯੋ ਫੇਰਿ ਭ੍ਰਾਤੰ ॥
ਫਿਰ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ।

ਸੁਨਯੋ ਭਰਥ ਧਾਏ ॥
ਭਰਤ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ

ਪਗੰ ਸੀਸ ਲਾਏ ॥੬੭੫॥
ਅਤੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ) ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾ ਉਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੬੭੫॥
He pacified his mother in this way and then he met his brother Bharat. Bharat on hearing his arrival ran towards him and touched his head with the feet of Ram.675.

ਭਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਅੰਕੰ ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ (ਭਰਤ) ਨੂੰ ਜੱਫੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ

ਮਿਟੀ ਸਰਬ ਸੰਕੰ ॥
ਅਤੇ (ਭਰਤ ਦੇ ਮਨ) ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ਼ੰਕਾ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
Ram hugged him to his bosom and cleared all the doubts

ਮਿਲਯੰ ਸੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੰਤਾ ॥
ਇੰਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਤਰੂਘਨ ਆਣ ਮਿਲਿਆ

ਸਰੰ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਗੰਤਾ ॥੬੭੬॥
ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੬੭੬॥
Then he met Shatrugan, who had expert knowledge of weapons and Shastras.676.

ਜਟੰ ਧੂਰ ਝਾਰੀ ॥
(ਸ਼ਤਰੂਘਨ ਯੋਧੇ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਟਾ ਨਾਲ

ਪਗੰ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਰੀ ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਨੂੰ ਝਾੜਿਆ।

ਕਰੀ ਰਾਜ ਅਰਚਾ ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ (ਰਾਮ ਦੀ) ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਦਿਜੰ ਬੇਦ ਚਰਚਾ ॥੬੭੭॥
(ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ) ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾ ਨੇ ਵੇਦ ਪਾਠ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੬੭੭॥
The brothers cleansed the dust from the feet and matted hair of Ram. They worlshipped him in royal way and the Brahmins recited the Vedas.677.

ਕਰੈਂ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਨੰ ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਭਰੇ ਵੀਰ ਮਾਨੰ ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਵੀਰ ਸੂਰਮਤਾਈ ਦੇ ਮਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

ਦੀਯੰ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੰ ॥
ਫਿਰ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ

ਸਰੇ ਸਰਬ ਕਾਜੰ ॥੬੭੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੬੭੮॥
All the brothers sang full of love. Ram was made the king and all the works were completed in this way.678.

ਬੁਲੈ ਬਿੱਪ ਲੀਨੇ ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਏ,

ਸ੍ਰੁੱਤੋਚਾਰ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਰਹਾ ਨੇ) ਵੇਦਾ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਕੀਤਾ।
The Brahmins were called in and with the recitation of Vedic mantras Ram was enthroned

ਭਏ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਰਹਾ ਜਦ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਏ

ਬਜੇ ਜੀਤ ਬਾਜਾ ॥੬੭੯॥
ਤਾ ਜਿੱਤ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਣ ਲੱਗੇ ॥੬੭੯॥
On all the four sides resounded the musical instruments denoting victory.679.

ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਪ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਿਸ ਭਾ? ਉਸ ਦਾ ਤਪ ਕਿਸ ਅਰਥ? ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਰਤ ਤੇ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਗੁਣ?
What use is chanting, and what use is penance, fasting or devotional worship,

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਿਦੈ ਭਾਉ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥
jaa kai ridhai bhaau hai dhoojaa ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ, ।੨।
to one whose heart is filled with the love of duality? ||1||

ਰੇ ਜਨ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਧਉ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
re jan man maadhau siau laieeaai ||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ 
O humble people, link your mind to the Lord.

ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਨ ਚਤੁਰਭੁਜੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
chaturaiee na chaturabhuj paieeaai || rahaau ||
(ਸਿਮਰਨ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ) ਸਿਆਣਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
Through cleverness, the four-armed Lord is not obtained. ||Pause||

ਪਰਹਰੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਅਰੁ ਲੋਕਾਚਾਰੁ ॥
parahar lobh ar lokaachaar ||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਲਾਲਚ, ਵਿਖਾਵਾ  ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ 
Set aside your greed and worldly ways.

ਪਰਹਰੁ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
parahar kaam karodh aha(n)kaar ||2||
ਕਾਮ, ਕੋ੍ਰਧ ਅਤੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ ।੨।
Set aside sexual desire, anger and egotism. ||2||

ਕਰਮ ਕਰਤ ਬਧੇ ਅਹੰਮੇਵ ॥
karam karat badhe aha(n)mev ||
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਰਸਮਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਝੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ, 
Ritual practices bind people in egotism;

ਮਿਲਿ ਪਾਥਰ ਕੀ ਕਰਹੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੩॥
mil paathar kee karahee sev ||3||
 ਅਤੇ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀ (ਹੀ) ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ (ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ) ।੩।
meeting together, they worship stones. ||3||

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
kahu kabeer bhagat kar paiaa ||
ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! ਆਖ—ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ (ਹੀ) ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ
Says Kabeer, He is obtained only by devotional worship.

ਭੋਲੇ ਭਾਇ ਮਿਲੇ ਰਘੁਰਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੬॥
bhole bhai mile raghuraiaa ||4||6||
ਭੋਲੇ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੬।
Through innocent love, the Lord is met. ||4||6||

The warriors are decorating themselves and the horrible battle-drums are resounding, O my husband! You may flee for your safety because Ram has arrived

ਬਾਲ ਮਾਰਯੋ ਬਲੀ ਸਿੰਧ ਪਾਟਯੋ ਜਿਨੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਸੌ ਬੈਰਿ ਕੈਸੇ ਰਚਾਏ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਬਲੀ ਬਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੁੱਲ ਬੰਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਵੈਰ ਰਚਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ?
He who has killed Bali, who has splitted the sea and created the passage, why have you created enmity with him?

ਬਯਾਧ ਜੀਤਯੋ ਜਿਨੈ ਜੰਭ ਮਾਰਯੋ ਉਨੈ ਰਾਮ ਅਉਤਾਰ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ 'ਬਿਰਾਧ' ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਨੇ ਜੰਭਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਓਹੀ ਸੋਭਾਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹਨ।
He, who has killed Byadh and Jambasur, it is the same power, which has manifested itself as Ram

ਦੇ ਮਿਲੋ ਜਾਨਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਹੈ ਸਿਆਨ ਕੀ ਚਾਮ ਕੇ ਦਾਮ ਕਾਹੇ ਚਲਾਏ ॥੩੮੦॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਓ, ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੰਮ ਦੇ ਦੰਮ ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਚਲਾਏ ਹਨ ॥੩੮੦॥
Return Sita to him and see him, this is the only wise thing, do not try to introduce the coins of leather.380.

Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord with pleasure and joy, the sins will be erased and thrown away. ||1||

ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨ ਧਰਉ ਮਾਥੈ ਚਾਂਦਨਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਹੋਇ ਅੰਧੇਰੈ ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ (ਹਿਰਦੇ-) ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।
Touch your forehead to the feet of the Saints, and your dark household shall be illumined. ||2||

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਬਿਗਸੈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਭਜਉ ਪੇਖਿ ਨੇਰੈ ॥੩॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਮੇਰਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ-) ਕੌਲ ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਨੇੜੇ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ।੩।
By the Grace of the Saints, the heart-lotus blossoms forth. Vibrate and meditate on the Lord of the Universe, and see Him near at hand. ||3||

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਪਾਏ ਵਾਰਿ ਵਾਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਹ ਬੇਰੈ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੬॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ । ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਜਦੋਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ) ।੪।੫।੧੬।
By the Grace of God, I have found the Saints. Over and over again, Nanak is a sacrifice to that moment. ||4||5||16||

God blends that one into Himself.

ਓਹੁ ਧਨਵੰਤੁ ਕੁਲਵੰਤੁ ਪਤਿਵੰਤੁ ॥
oh dhanava(n)t kulava(n)t pativa(n)t ||
ਉਹ ਧਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਕੁਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
He is wealth and prosperous, and of noble birth.

ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਭਗਵੰਤੁ ॥
jeevan mukat jis ridhai bhagava(n)t ||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੀ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, 
He is Jivan Mukta - liberated while yet alive; the Lord God abides in his heart.

ਧੰਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਨੁ ਆਇਆ ॥
dha(n)n dha(n)n dha(n)n jan aaiaa ||
ਉਸ ਦਾ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਆਉਣਾ ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ ਹੈ ।
Blessed, blessed, blessed is the coming of that humble being;

ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਾਇਆ ॥
jis prasaadh sabh jagat taraiaa ||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਹੀ ਤਰਦਾ ਹੈ, 
by his grace, the whole world is saved.

ਜਨ ਆਵਨ ਕਾ ਇਹੈ ਸੁਆਉ ॥
jan aavan kaa ihai suaau ||
ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਇਹੀ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਹੈ 
This is his purpose in life;

ਜਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਨਾਉ ॥
jan kai sa(n)g chit aavai naau ||
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
in the Company of this humble servant, the Lord's Name comes to mind.

ਆਪਿ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
aap mukat mukat karai sa(n)saar ||
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪ (ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ) ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੈ, ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ; 
He Himself is liberated, and He liberates the universe.

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੁ ॥੮॥੨੩॥
naanak tis jan kau sadhaa namasakaar ||8||23||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਐਸੇ (ਉੱਤਮ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਹੈ ।੮।੨੩।
O Nanak, to that humble servant, I bow in reverence forever. ||8||23||
