The four reworks of the two tracks, Renegade & Sailor are rich and full of character. Diversified with alternative pathways in comparison to the original source production. Even though one can quite plainly recognize that the similarities to the original are present. Each artist has demonstrated a unique stamp in their remix. Pioneering their own creative disciplines to astound us with an ingenious range of style, emotion, rhythm and groove.

Inspired by the beauty and structure of humpback whale songs, this album was made through collaboration between a scientist and artists. 

Humpback whale song is the most complex vocal display in the animal kingdom and one of the most striking examples of animal culture. 
It has a hierarchical structure: 
The smallest element of a song is called a unit. Units are organized in a specific sequence to make a phrase. Phrases are repeated to make a theme. Several themes arranged in a specific pattern make up a song. 
Only male humpbacks sing, and the songs constantly evolve, but all males in the same population sing the same version of the song at any given time. 

How do they learn their songs and how and why these songs evolve? 
I hope that my research will shed light on this mystery and help with the conservation of these magnificent creatures! 

I invite you to dive into the world of sound through this album, in which each artist’s track represents one theme of a humpback whale song. 
Artists donated their time, talent and knowledge into making this compilation so people can hear these amazing sounds and learn about these incredible animals.

Lets suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream you wanted to dream,
and you would naturally as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfill all your wishes.

You would have every kind of pleasure, you see,
and after several nights you would say, "well that was pretty great."
But now lets have a surprise, lets have a dream which isn’t under control.
Well something is going to happen to me that i don’t know what it’s gonna be.
Then you would get more and more adventurous, and you would make further and further out gambles as to what you would dream, and finally you would dream where you are now.

If you awaken from this illusion,
and you understand that black implies white,
self implies other,
life implies death.
You can feel yourself, not as a stranger in the world,
not as something here on probation, not as something that has arrived here by fluke, but you can begin to feel your own existence as absolutely fundamental.

What you are basically, deep, deep down, far, far in, is simply the fabric and structure of existence itself.
