Radikal Kuss joins BARRO Music Label, and they offer us BARRO # 005, a 5-track EP, available in both physical (vinyl) and digital format. The EP is a complete bomb, from WAR, the destructive kicks off the track, to IGNORANCE IS A CRIME, the closing track, with sensual rhythms and suggestive vocals.

Radikal Kuss is an enigmatic Belgian Techno Body Music duo hidden behind an idea: shake minds and bodies with their techno body concept. Poetic lyrics, erotic tension, powerful rhythm, dirty bass, and sharped synths.

With this release in BARRO Music Label, they reaffirm their commitment. Synthesized voices, with a deep message, winding dance, frenetic rhythms, like hypnosis introduced to your body through your ears and shakes it with no mercy or concessions.

Their sound is a perfect match for the Madrid-based label and his 5th release, with previous references of artists such as Esplendor Geométrico, Amato, or Years of Denial, consolidating itself as a benchmark label in EBM, Electro, Techno or Industrial in Spain. The collaborative bi-coastal project between Andi (NYC) and Machino (LA) is dark, spiraling music that conflates the tension of running EBM basslines with the monstrosity of electro-saturated, industrialized beats. In 2021, Andi and Machino began sending music back and forth to each other virtually—thousands of miles apart—as they built upon their passion for creating off-the-cuff, dangerously degenerate dance tracks.

Parafernales, their first release out this summer on Mannequin, is a conceptual EP that deals with power struggles: love and lust, strength and destruction, dominating and domination. Andi's vocals are spoken, whispered, and yelled simultaneously, as if to mirror the mania of having control and losing it at the same time. The EP title, Parafernales, is a nod to Machino's first language of Spanish and stems from the idea of miscellany: it is parafernalia for drugs, or, simply, accessories for unsavory activities. With inspirations from turn-of-the-90s erotic thrillers to the Chilean post-punk band, Los Prisioneros, the duo collide in a manner that is unadulterated and, at times, completely unhinged.

Written and recorded by Sebastian Lee Philipp with his Uhrwald Orange studio collaborator Ralf Beck, ’Morgenrot’ originally appeared on Die Wilde Jagd's debut album in 2015. For this release, Philipp and Beck re-visited the song: the ensuing ‘Fangschuss Version' enjoys an augmented arrangement, additional instrumentation and a haunting guest vocal by New- Zealand based singer Nina Siegler. In Philipp’s words, the 'Fangschuss Version' constitutes “a venture to capture the spirit that has been guiding this fusion release - a desire to explore the concepts of friendship, time, distance and memory. An attempt to unveil fragments of the unseen and to reveal the surge of a distant remembrance in an embracive listening experience.

Ancient Methods showcase an epic masterpiece of enchanting medieval-vibed techno.

‘Todo Avaricia’ by Reka and the duo Imperial Black Unit is the result of an immediate and natural connection forged between the three artists, through a jam session that swiftly and intuitively yielded three tracks of stylistically diverse yet demonstrably cohesive sounds. Featuring the sampled voices of Che Cuevara, Pablo Neruda and original vocals by Reka herself, the EP plays the role of an urgent call to action against political and environmental injustice, conveyed via the musical substrate of new beat, industrial and EBM, fused into a landscape of techno and undeniably constructed for the dancefloor. Neud Photo (Nico Nightingale) has been on a tear lately and this latest offering for Mysidian shows up as his most dark and menacing. The electro meets techno sound we know him for is still prevalent but the amnesia-inducing 'Dreamz' carries thumping EBM and New Beat influences as well. R&S meets Subway meets Mute. 
While each track plays on it's own themes independently with tasteful vocal samples and industrial energy, the thing they all have in common is obvious. 
They completely satisfy aural wishes excited during the day which remain unrealized. They are simply and undisguisedly realizations of wishes.

Neud Photo - A2 - Dreamz

Wein El Malayeen by @deenaabdelwahed (@ancient-methods remix)

Following the devastating explosion at the Port of Beirut on August 4, Ma3azef teamed up with New York-based mastering engineer Heba Kadry to curate a compilation by regional and international musicians to raise funds for the continuous relief work being done on the ground in Beirut to help those who have been failed by the Lebanese state.

Today, we're happy to announce two additional remixes to be added to the compilation: ZULI's Kiwii, remixed by El Kontessa; Deena Abdelwahed's Wein El Malayeen, remixed  by Ancient Methods.

The 19-track compilation includes contributions by the likes of Fatima Al Qadiri, Nicolás Jaar, ZULI, Slikback, and others. Bringing sounds together from the different crevices of electronic music, it is a humble attempt to galvanize musicians and listeners into supporting a city that has been integral in shaping the region’s contemporary music scene.

All proceeds from the sales of the compilation are going to local initiatives to provide assistance to those affected, they will be divided between Fundraising Campaign for the Arts and Culture Community in Beirut organized by AFAC; Beirut Musicians' Fund organized by Tunefork Studios, and Beit el Baraka.
