VNZO from Chile starts the journey with a heavy-hitting atmospheric industry 'Contigo', the argentine power duo Happy707 (May Mc Claren & Palmariello) says 'Yeah!' on a slick and acid new beat-ish way, from Athens, Petros Spatharos brings distorted breakbeat with post-goa vibes on 'Desert Drugs', the dancing devil from medellin; T.D.D burst a sci-fi machines energy on IDM track 'Collapsed', Berlin-based Third Replica (ex-Viper Dreams) throws groundbreaking tension and breakbeat grooves on 'Bite', Amusement Machine from Oakland, CA cast a phantasmagorical industrial gear with whipping rhythm on 'Masoch', boss of colombian techno label Broken Mind Recordings; Ana Gartner debuts her new moniker Anne Artikel with the jackin' punk '000001' riding dirty hi-hats, maniac telephone tones and deadpan vocals, Body Musick host Filmmaker plays a lurid synthwave on 'All Licking Tongue', after comes 1/2 Kontinent; Sadxmafioso blasting a frenetic bassline with rocking drum hits on 'Traumat', the album closes with Pildoras Tapes co-owner GAËL providing fresh ethereal vibes on his lo-fi electro 'Tierra No Prometida'.

Originally self-released as a 7’’ in 1982, Plath release is definitely one of the obscure gems of the Italian underground.
Plath were a duo from Prato, formed in 1982 by Silvia Innocenti (voice, bass guitar) and Fabrizio Lucarini (synth, drum machine). Plath were influenced by Throbbing Gristle and early Cabaret Voltaire works, moving in between two essential thematic actions: first, the constant search of a sound which aims to reflect the current reality as they were interpretating it and, second, the constant exposure of their anarchist ideological thinking against the established political and social system.
While the A-Side includes the original single in full, with the classic ‘I Am Strange Now’, recently unearthed by Alessio Natalizia/Not Waving in his monumental ‘Mutazione’ compilation released by Strut Records in 2013, the B-side instead contains a killer percussive edit of Alessandro Adriani made for the most crazy mental dancefloors..

For the third time, Bosnian DJ and producer Borgie has delivered an astonishing 4-track 12-inch to Electronic Emergencies. Transcending the here and now, he rockets into Hyper Delta Space, where desire, emotions, pain and memory are transformed into telemetric signals. The sheer distance, emptiness and darkness of the outskirts of space are intertwined in the tracks. Disco noir or dark techno, it's not an issue. Resistance is futile.

@Krisbaha returns to his imprint since ‘Mind Your Head’ in 2016 with 4 mutant industrial cuts ready for a dance floor of 1. 
‘Behave’ begins with a hypnotic sequence guiding the listener through the piece as sonic sirens screech from the cavernous dystopian wastelands of 2020.  

‘Starts to Fall’, which was finished in January before the epidemic, is a soundtrack of what was to come. A could be dance floor anthem now lost to the ‘could of been’s’ of time. Baha’s signature mechanical grooves start the track off with KB’s androgynous autotune vocal singing ‘Starts To Fall’, punching into a metallic punk wave inspired bassline setting the tone before submerging into the anthemic leads, a call to a brighter future. 

On the B side, ‘Struck’ is the brighter track of the release. High pitched melodic stabs shimmer above the corroded lowlands as 90’s industrial inspired drum grooves inject themselves into the already mutating bass line. Lastly, ‘Isolation’ is a slower BPM EBM cut evidently bleak and cold as forced Isolation and its negative side effects take their toll. The future is...

The Brvtalist is pleased to the premiere the new music video from XTR HUMAN. “LEBEN OHNE LICHT” is XTR’s brand new single, featuring backing vocals from Die Selektion’s own Luca Gillian, from their to-be-announced forthcoming LP on Berlin’s Braid Records, which marks the departure from XTR’s post-punk band approach seeking new ground as a gothic-electronic club force.

“LEBEN OHNE LICHT” is an EBM goth-ballade lead by an infectious melody, exhibiting vocalist Johannes Stabels’ words, now singing in German and Gillian’s euphonious vocals creating a sweet harmonization. 

Directed by Dominik Jureschko (Imtlase Studio), the video is influenced by limitations of the current pandemic and seen as an homage to DIY hand-held-horror.

We’re looking forward to XTR HUMAN’s full LP which will be announced soon and is coming this Spring on Braid Records.
