Home is the debut release of Meanjin duo QRP, consisting of producers Quincy Raw and Phresh. Inspired by a mutual love of IDM, Technology, old CGI and Minimal music - Home is four examples of the countless creative sessions from the two producers who co-run Pocketmoth and Dialogue, respectively. All originating from live jams held from mid-to-late 2021 through all of 2022 - experimenting with shortwave radio, microsampling and almost entirely constructed from live Synthesisers, Samplers and Drum Machines - Come Home.

Ruhe is a collaboration between Brisbane based musicians Thomas Brydon (Mack Franklin) and David Fincher (Bakmahn). We are absolutely thrilled to present their contribution to the BL mix series: an hour of ethereal and luxurious house and techno workouts. We were also lucky enough to catch a killer live set from the duo earlier this year, which consisted of driving acidic grooves and ambient soundscapes in combination with the classic deep house and trance drum sequencing we all know and love!
