ANK is the Bratislava based Dj and founder of OLAM Collective. Involved in electronic music scene since early 2000’s he hosted and organized several festivals and events. He started playing active in 2009. Grateful for being in right circumstances he visited many places and meet people that influenced his current music presentation.

In 2016 ANK become a part of Serbian project Lobotomija and year after he established Derivate (Asfalt Soundsystem) warehouse party which takes important role in Bratislava nightlife. 

ANK is the creator and the seeker of an atmospheric and vivid soundscapes. The flashing light and enigmatic sets are his trademark. He is here to cut the darkness with minimalistic simplicity and complex professionalism as he always did.

Mix is collaboration between Ank and fashion designer Marija Kozomora, for her collection MANTRA.

M A N T R A

Distancing myself from the humankind’s centuries patterns and imagination of life, that has been limiting my consciousness, my spiritual awakening call became orientated towards the Mother Earth and firstly understanding my inner landscape and the visible side of the nature around me. The conscious part of me started experiencing new ways of approaching life as a constant ever-growing expansion, which reflected in my better perceiving to the soul and spirit. How did we forget we are all creations of Mother Earth? With generations passing by, we allowed ourselves to feel empowered and twisted our mind around in addition for our lives to constantly get better. Not realizing that choice took us out of the Earth’s balance, which element we are. 

My anger lays in the field of the empty box our modern society created teaching us to be part of, where all our morals and spiritual values hides and should not be questioned. Why we gained ignorance about the hidden treasures of our spirits? The rapid humanity shifts, brought a new era upon our life’s perception, leaving us empty without inner strength to feel a connection and interact with the source of everything, of what we consist.

Humans need to expand their views of their existence and awareness of who they are into the unknown, only that way they too may learn not to be afraid of the universe. The spirit of shamanism brings from the core of Earth into existing life the light of experience, as part of the dawning of a new spiritual awareness. It brings depth and more clarity to the life that humans may know belong to their body and the body of Mother Earth.

My contribution to humans awakening towards nature is Mantra. Mantra’s heart beats for the mysticism of the natural world. Mysticism as something that I describe as a playful spiritual ground, like a forest full of hidden creatures, vibrations and energies. In the world called Mother Earth, I found the guidance, a path to follow, a source of everything I feel and create. Earths wisdom speaks through my mind, it is my tool to communicate with today’s regime and to open up the Earth’s portal. The portal where everything becomes alive again.

Mantra’s path represents the new start, new terrain, new ground, new inner self. Path is emphasizing the ability to turn our minds around, so that we, as humanity, once again experience ourselves as part of nature, imbued with soul and spirit.

Seiichiro Itoyama offers 4 cuts of blisteringly propulsive techno for Unknown Timeline. ‘Sand and Dust (Greyscale mix)’ and ’Substrata’ carry an introspective weight, with monotonous synth sequences supplemented by a constant flow of textured ambience and percussive elements subtly sustaining energy throughout. ’R.E.M’ and ‘Barrage’ utilize sharp and direct sounds that gradually blend into each other to create an intensely hypnotic drive.

Seiichiro Itoyama is a producer from Japan, currently based in Berlin. 
Initially diving into electronic music production as a means of personal meditation, this has become the foundation of his process - a disciplined, uncompromising focus on inducing an utterly present and hypnotic state of mind through sound.
All the above, as well as a strong desire to distinguish his sound has led him to consciously eschew  using software / hardware / modular synths as primary sound sources.
With a deep interest in film, he began to sample sounds from films.
Every sound (except the kick) is created from sounds extracted from films, processed and altered beyond recognition by effects, done entirely in the box using mainly ableton stock plugins alongside few third-party plugins.
This EP is the culmination of this process.
