My newest series of big band video game arrangements launches with this classic from one of my favorite games, Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Trigger is known amongst game players as one of the most important and well beloved video games of all time. In addition, its score is frequently cited as one of the all time greats. With its lush harmonies, non functional progressions and fusion straight 8th grooves I realized that all the time I spent playing this game as a child was affecting my musical approach as I entered college. So when I decided to arrange this piece two years ago, the meeting was natural and fluid.

Throughout the arrangement you will hear the top tier clarinet playing of Brett McDonald, as the featured soloist. In addition, Brett, Drew and Kelsey provide a vast array of woodwind colors such as bass clarinet, alto flute, and bass flute! The brass play remarkably well, with many exposed and delicate muted passages. The rhythm section is groovin' throughout and I just love how they play during the solo section. I think you will too.

This is the soundtrack I made for a little game made by a friend! The game is just a simple demo with only one stage, but I tried to give my best on each track! It was my first time doing something like this, as it was the first time my friend made a game project to the end. It was a good learning experience for everyone involved!

I made all the songs with OpenMPT about a year ago.

One of my favorite 90s hits, now as an NES-styled jam! I started working on this a couple of days ago and actually already uploaded it as an unfinished project, so here's the finished version, now with verses and a few little tweaks to make it sound more spot on.

Made using a Winebottled version of FamiTracker on a MacBook Pro. I had a lot of fun making this, as 50s doo-wop is one of my favorite genres of music- and this is one of my favorite songs in that genre! I'm really proud of it as well, as the backing chord harmonies are a lot more rhythmically complex than a lot of my previous 8-bit covers. I created the thumbnail image using a crappy online image editor, and the custom Mario sprites were also made by me.
